Check in was quick and easy, however it went downhill from there. When I got to my room I realised that it wasn't the family room I had book and instead I had been placed in a twin room, yet they still charged me the family room rate. When I approached reception, she told me there were no family rooms so she put us in a twin as there were only 3 of us staying. She offered a rollaway if we wanted an extra bed. I brought up the fact that I booked and paid for the larger room. I was happy to stay in the twin as there was no other option, but i wanted to only pay the twin room rate. She told me to come back later. When I returned they hadn't heard back from management, so I had to return again the next day. I was offered $20 refund, however after fees, this was only a $16 refund. So I still paid more for the room than if I had just booked a twin. The room itself was uncomfortable and dated. The fridge door hinge was broken so it didn't shut properly. The only toilet paper provided was wet. There were cigarette holes in the bedding. I have stayed here previously and it was fine. Close to the shops and train which is handy. But after this experience, I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.
