Delight the Touristo

We were booked into this hotel by one of the Tourist Operator who planned our itineary. We were a family of four and we were given two twin rooms - One had a balcony and the other was terrible like a cardboard box. The rooms were one floor beneath the ground and had cheap carpets on the floor, quality of the room was very bad. The room with Balcony was OK but the one adjacent to it was terrible. There was only one power socket which wasnt working, they had the generators ON at the night and the hot air from the generator was coming in through the window as it was not sealed properly. Breakfast was Poori Channa and Bread - was very basic. Though we were booked for two days, we vacated the next morning itself and left for Siliguri one day before - We somehow managed for one night. Our two night stay in Pelling was spoiled because of this hotel as all the other hotels that we checked on the same street were full. Not sure if our tour operator will refund the money or not - but we didnt want to stay in the same place for one mor day. The person-in-charge was terrible - though he didnt raise his tone, he was not admitting to why the socket was not working or about the generator- he was not friendly. Will never ever recommend this place to anyone ..

Worst experience ever. There was no water in bathroom from the time we checked in till we checked out. We had no choice but to avoid brush bath even going toilet. We just slept, woke up and checked out without using water. Don't spoil your trip by booking this hotel.
