Ganimede Hotel, Galaxidi

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel in Galaxidi! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends by the lovely staff and owner, Chrisoula, whose warmth and hospitality made our visit unforgettable. The space is meticulously curated — every detail feels thoughtful and intentional. Our room was spotless, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and the outdoor spaces were a dream — perfect for slow mornings or evening wine under the stars. Breakfast was a highlight – absolutely delicious, with fresh, local ingredients and a rotating selection of sweet and savory options (the yogurt was a favorite of mine!). We bought Chrisoula's cookbook to bring a piece of Greece and her classic dishes home with us. The location is ideal — peaceful, yet just a short walk to the waterfront tavernas. This place truly feels like a hidden gem. We can't wait to return!

When in Galaxidi, one of the prettiest towns in Greece, Ganimede is a wonderful place to stay. Super clean room, friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful patio/garden when you want some rest or shade. And of course THE BEST breakfast ever!

Galaxidi is a Nice surorise št the coast. Small enough to relax bit with a charm of the past and lovely restaurants, old fashioned shops, bakeries Nice hotels. Ganimede os one of the most inviting thanks to a family of Chrisoula. She with her team loves to keep guests happy and satisfied with a unique experience of Greek hospotality. Her breakfast is unique and inforgetable. Lots of digferent traditional meals made of local ingrediants. I loved the jams grom tangerine to oranges, freshly prepared youghurt with carrots and delicious sweets. Fresh Breda comes every morning grom the family bakery. Chrisoula also published an attractive cooking book with traditional recepies grom the region. There are modern and Antić rooms in a few houses around lovely all year Green aromatic garden. My room was comfortable, light with High ceilings, Cody bed, Antić furniture and decor. Bathroom spotless člena with good Quality amenities and really hot shower. There was also a common terrace, Nice to relax in prave pri read a book after exploring lovely Little Town and beaches. The personnel was extremly attentive, polite and good English speaking.location is super quiet and safe.You can park on a street.

We visited Galaxidi and stayed one night at Ganimede (A small hotel/guesthouse) in March 2025 Delicious breakfast with perfect light apple crumble slice, yoghurt with carrot jam (gorgeous) and other toppings, freshly squeezed juice, lemon curd, delicious apricot chutney to go with the local Cheese. These were our highlights - no space for cooked breakfast! Our room was a triple -with a balcony/terrace - very tastefully decorated-retaining some antique features including a painted wooden ceiling and furniture. It gives a nice personality and atmosphere. Comfortable large bed & airy large bathroom with fluffy towels. Great value for the quality. Parking on a quiet road outside in a quiet village on the Gulf of Corinth. Nice waterfront area with a few cute shops & restaurants with views over the gulf to the snow capped mountains behind Delphi Galaxidi is about 25 mins from Delphi & ideal location for visiting the site- you can get an earlier breakfast if needed. A special word to the owner - I accidentally left behind some clothing that had to be couriered to me. It’s only when something goes wrong that you see how kind and uncomplaining staff/owners are when they are inconvenienced by forgetful guests! I'm sure it was highly inconvenient for the owner but they gave me a brilliant service! I’ll be staying here again when I’m back in the area - for sure, .....it has personality.

We stayed 2 nights in the Traditional Suite. What a lovely unit. It is on the top floor and has a private entrance via an outdoor staircase. There’s also a petite sitting area on the landing. The main room has high ceilings and exposed roof beams, a queen bed, fireplace, and bow window with seating, and 2 sets of French doors looking out on a beautiful courtyard garden. Best of all, one of the French doors has a retractable insect screen (pulled down from the exterior door lintel), which allowed us to enjoy the fresh air without worrying about mosquitoes. Up a couple of steps, there’s a fully equipped kitchenette. Hostess Chrisoula has thoughtfully provided lots of chilled bottled water, teas, and coffee for your enjoyment. The roomy bathroom is next to the kitchen and has the most wonderful shower we’ve encountered on our trip, with strong and consistent prays in a fully glass enclosed space. The wall mounted hairdryer has a neat 120v receptacle which was tremendously helpful to us since our transformer died on the trip and we couldn’t charge our camera. Up a flight of stairs is a sleeping loft with both a full and a queen mattress. Unique to Ganimede, Chrisoula has provided both light weight and heavy weight blankets to suite her visitors’ differing sleeping preferences. My husband was so comfortable he managed to sleep 9 hours straight one night! The award winning breakfast was a real treat. There were all different kinds of teas and coffees from which to choose. Chrisoula served us fresh squeezed orange juice, sweet and savory pastry, fresh bread with many unique homemade jams, plus delicious yogurt with honey and egg cooked to order! Chrisoula has written a lovely cookbook with authentic local recipes which you can buy. Galaxidi is a sweet town with a truly authentic feel. We walked all over town and saw some delightful sea captain’s houses and a pretty port. There’s a wonderful restaurant, O Bebelis, just around the corner from Ganimede where we had a superb grilled fish and delicious pork leg stew. There’s also a sweets shop just down the road from the restaurant. Everything was homemade and simple and totally authentic and delicious (and not too sweet!) If you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet, and authentic experience, this is the place for you!

Very cosy homely place with friendly hosts. Delicious home made breakfast in a charming little town. Our room was large. Once they turned on the heating and hot water it was cosy. The home made bread and marmalade were very tasty. Perhaps the bar needs some beers and coke to make it super stocked.
