Toxotis Hotel

Don’t come here. The pool is green and has been closed since we got here. Everyone at the hotel has been complaining to the staff and their travel providers. People are wanting to fly home. Book a different hotel. The shower is broken and the food is hit and miss.

Overall I am very satisfied with the holiday, same as my family. I did ready before that rooms are tiny but it’s enough for a family of 2 + 1. You only sleep there ;) but the beds could be softer. Staff is very friendly, always polite and smiley. They are doing the atmosphere so good! Demetri welcomes all the guests, is very open, friendly to talk and remembers them too which is nice. The man behind a pool bar (longer hair) is also very very polite and positive, gives great advised what to see. The two brothers in the restaurant are very friendly too. The whole crew in general was great and there was not a person to let the team review down! Swimming pool is enough with the size and clean water, the sunbeds are very comfortable. The slides are fun too. Checking the other comments that there is not much food I honestly disagree. The selection is just perfect, not too much but food is fresh and tasty and you always find something to choose from. Breakfasts are very tasty too. Vegetables and salads are really delicious! Location is great, in a walking distance to the beach but also some attractions. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel too but would recommend a car to see more and save some time too :) The gym is more for athletes/ lifters as it’s quite old fashion but if you do weights would be enough. We didn’t experience any activities/entertainment as there were non during our stay but did have a violinist one night and she was great, played very very well. In general it’s a nice and friendly place to stay at.

Although this is not the type of holiday we have taken over the years, an all inclusive holiday booked through EasyJet, our stay here was fantastic. This is due to Dimitri and his staff for making it a very pleasant experience and a holiday to remember. Other reviews have said the food quality is that of a 4 or 5 star hotel - we would whole heartedly agree with this. The bedrooms were very clean with very comfortable beds. Air conditioning was an added bonus as was the balcony, fridge and kettle. The pool/outside bar area was lovely - a great place to relax. Look forward to returning.

We have just got back from here and had the best holiday, check in was easy and offered a ham and cheese sandwich as we arrived late. The rooms were spacious 2 beds and a pull out for our family of 3. A free safe to use and a fridge in the room. Cleaned and fresh towels daily. Yes the water goes everywhere when you have a shower we just put towels down. Absolutely no sunbed wars which was great the kids went in the pools from the moment they got up. The water slides are turned on between 10 and half 10. The food was good not a huge choice but always something even for picky eaters. And the pool bar did snacks that were cooked to order between 3 and 5. The beach is less than 10 minute walk from the hotel and has beautiful walk along the coast to protaras which only takes about 30 minutes. Hands down the most friendly staff at any place I have ever stayed especially the gentlemen that takes the drinks order over lunch and dinner he's a credit to the hotel.

I just can’t understand why this hotel is rated so highly by other guests. It needs an urgent overhaul. I guess if you can get a cheap deal then it’s okay but otherwise there are much better places to stay. Some good things: The food is decent, all inclusive drinks weren’t bad. The bedrooms are clean with a free safe and air con. Shower room also modern and functional. There are water slides for kids. Enough sun beds. Staff are pleasant. But the negatives probably outweigh the positives. The whole hotel is down at heel and public areas are depressing.. The reception area is shabby and uninviting, dead plants outside. Restaurant is like a works canteen. The toilets by the pool bar are acceptable but the only others are down outside steps into a smelly dungeon like area. There are showers down there but I can’t believe anyone would want to use them. Our room was tiny with absolutely no storage. Very uncomfortable beds. A few wire hangers!! The shower room was so small that if someone opened the door when you were on the loo they’d have knocked you out. Minuscule balcony you wouldn’t want to sit out on. No carpet and bare walls on corridors make it very noisy when people move around. No bar inside the hotel building - if you want a drink in the evening you have to schlepp all the way to the far side of the pool. As many others have said there are steps up to the bar with no hand rail (why not just fit one?!) and while we were there we saw two people trip and fall. There is a ramp round the back of the bar but it’s not obvious and there’s still a drop off at the side which isn’t that visible at night. There is only ever one staff member on so they are reluctant to give you a proper glass. I understood that glass can’t be allowed round the pool but little disposable cups really are horrible from any point of view. No entertainment unless you count the noise from the pub singer in a neighbouring bar! The hotel location isn’t attractive, but not far to walk to the pretty beach area and boardwalk.

Great small hotel, with friendly staff especially Dinos & Domitris who kept us entertained & sorted out anything we requested, food is lovely with plenty of choice, the Asian night especially was amazing (better than our Chinese takeaway back home!)
