Little Petra Bedouin Camp

Je tenais à écrire un avis pour dire à quel point nous avons aimé notre séjour au little petra bedouin camp. L’ambiance était magnifique avec un personnel très gentil et attentionné. Nous avons eu le droit a une meilleure chambre que celle réservée et c'était une magnifique surprise. La propreté est aussi au top même pour les salles de bain communes. Je recommande à 100% et encore un grand merci au gérant ainsi qu’aux garçons qui travaillent là bas !

Whoa! This place definitely exceeded our expectations. We just needed a place to stay in order to visit Petra but this camp was a whole experience in itself! We got the cave room, which was super-cool. The ambiance here was off the charts. We loved that they had a big campfire circle with comfy places to chill and smoke shisha and drink Bedouin tea. They also had a musician playing a traditional stringed instrument and singing. We arrived late and left early, so we regret that we did not get to sample the food at the camp. Mohammed, who checked us in, speaks great English and gave us helpful travel advice. We chose to rise before sunrise and do the hike to Little Petra. We were able to walk right to the camp to the trail head. You need offline maps or a guide to do the trail. It is about 14kms and takes 5-7 hours, depending on how fast you walk, how much time you spend exploring the sites along the way and weather or not you choose to chill in a cafe or restaurant along the way. The scenery (snd, of course, Petra itself) is stunning and we didn’t think the hike was too challenging. There’s a lot of stairs, but anyone who is reasonable fit should be able to do it. Might be kind of miserable on a really hot day, though. We would definitely recommend Little Petra Bedouin Camp. We just wish that we had been able to stay for two nights instead of one.

Stayed one night at this camp during a visit to Jordan. The tents at this camp are particularly well-equipped and well-maintained. The hosts are attentive and caring, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The evening ambiance is warm, both during dinner and in the traditional entertainment offered afterward.

The little petra Badouin camp is a very nice and cosy place that stays true to the original values of jordan culture. The magical campfire place with all the lights in the mountains is definitely one of the coolest things i've seen in any campsite. Combined with the lovely local food, this is truly worth staying! Heavily recommended!

We stayed at the little Petra camp for a couple of nights to visit the fantastic Petra World Wonder, as a family of 4 with young children. Muhammad and his team are incredibly friendly, welcoming and even helped us massively with booking the next leg of our journey. The room was comfortable, with every modern convenience of a hotel. The camp itself is beautiful, clean and a great place to spend the evening with wonderful food, atmosphere and a number of unique surprises that I won't ruin for you here. We passed by various similar camps and spent time in Petra hotels during our visit and felt very happy and vindicated with our choice every time. What a truly unique experience! Mohammed and his team understands how to make visitors feel welcome. The lit up mountain surrounds, food and rustic camp made this one of the best places we have visited in the world. Very very unique!

Very charming, and the experience felt authentic. The evening was very nice. We were served tea around the fire surrounded by the mountains, and the owners were very accommodating. Would recommend over a hotel for staying in Petra!

We stayed 2 nights in Little Petra Bedouin Camp with my friend and it was an amazing experience The camp is 10 minutes from petra with a taxi, it is nice to be a little bit away from the crowd It is also right in front of Little Petra which we would probably not visited if we stayed in Petra Everyone is so nice on the camp, our « tent » which is more like a little house was perfect, you have everything you need, the food is very good and they can also prepare you lunch boxes for the day for 5 JOD The camp at night is stunning, you will see by yourself…. I highly recommend this place
