Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast

Absolutely charming little B&B! Brian was the most incredible, gracious host, making sure we had everything we could have possibly wanted and then some. Our attic suite was so cozy, comfortable and cute, my teenager was loathe to go home. It was the PERFECT spot from which to explore Drexel, UPenn, and downtown Philly. We were grateful for the delicious and convivial community breakfast that started our day, and the afternoon snacks and tea that refreshed us after our adventures. Can't wait to come back and stay at the Cornerstone again!

We traveled to Philly for the first time and we were looking for a safe, comfortable landing place to be home base for four adults. We also wanted a place we could hang out together in the evenings rather than just separate hotel rooms. Staying on the third floor of Cornerstone B&B provided these details and so much more! We had two bedrooms, shared a bathroom, and sitting area that was perfect for chats and games. The delicious breakfast was a great start to each day. The charming details of Cornerstone are beautiful and made for an extra fun place as our accommodation. Definitely recommend!

The Cornerstone is so accommodating and offers a beautiful setting, great food! Easy walk to University events with family. Flowering landscapes and great company. Enjoyed the history tour with Brian! Thank you for the great getaway!!!!!!!

Amazing historic inn with wonderful atmosphere and amazing food! Better than any hotel could offer. The innkeeper is accommodating and goes over the top to provide expert service. You won't be disappointed at all and the area of Powelton.

My son and I had the most wonderful stay at the Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast! Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The hospitality shown by Brian and the other staff was top notch. We felt so cared for while we were there. The afternoon treats and wine, along with coffee and tea available all day were nice touches adding to the comfort of our stay. And the breakfast! Outstanding! Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet, with really comfortable beds and a great shower. The location is perfect! It's in a fairly quiet and nice neighborhood, yet only a 5-10 min walk to the metro, shops and restaurants, as well as the Drexel & Penn campuses. It's about a 15 min walk to 30th St Station and 20 min to the Museum of Art. If you're in Philadelphia, I highly recommend staying at the Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast! It's such a lovely place to stay, through and through!

We loved our stay at the Cornerstone B&B! The historic house was stunning, breakfast and snacks were delicious, and the Continental Suite was perfect for two couples for the weekend. The innkeeper Brian was very friendly, attentive, and informative. While in a quiet neighborhood, it was a quick 15-20min walk to the art museum and a 10min walk to the SEPTA station which took us right into Center City. There were a few decent restaurants in the neighborhood as well since it is home to both Drexel and Penn.

There aren't many places that I would truly return to but this is definitely one of them. Initially we chose Cornerstone for it's proximity to Drexel and also that they offered affordable parking. From checkin to checkout, this place was terrific and then some. We had a dietary request for breakfast and Brian went out of his way to accommodate us. The daily freshly baked goods were unexpected and awesome too. Huge thanks for a great visit - we'll be back!

Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast has my heart ＜3 From the moment I walked through the iron gate and up to the beautifully intricate front porch, I knew I made the right decision in where to spend my night in Philadelphia. I was so warmly greeted by the in-keeper, Brian. He helped me with my bags and showed me to my lovely room, The Fairmont. It was impeccably clean and comfortable. I was feeling drained from my travels and spent the evening cozied in my room enjoying the complimentary glass of wine. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding felt fresh and clean! My expectations were further exceeded during the breakfast service. I was served fresh coffee, orange juice, yogurt with fruit and granola and a croque madame casserole that the lovely Brian was able to make gluten free to accommodate my dietary restriction. As it was a slower morning, Brian was able to give me a tour of other areas of the property and spend time sharing some of the history and his experience at the Cornerstone. All in all, the Cornerstone is a delightful place to stay, but Brian makes it special. ＜3

I had walked past this beautiful property several times while visiting my student at Drexel over the years, and finally got an opportunity to stay here with my mother while visiting Philadelphia. We had a wonderful stay! The bed and breakfast is located in the adorable and safe Powelton Village near University City. We got the Philadelphia Room on the main floor so we wouldn’t have many stairs to climb at the end of our day. The room was just beautiful with natural light and glass stained windows. The king bed was comfortable and large enough that we didn’t wake each other up at night. The bathroom had a great shower and everything we needed. Our host Brian was incredibly accommodating. He answered all of our questions about the property and shared some interesting bits of knowledge about the house. We had amazing breakfasts with an extra touch that made us feel special and excited to start our day of sightseeing. We felt very well taken care of at Cornerstone B&B.
