Carra Beag Guest House

This place was absolutely superb, myself and my husband came for our annual Enchanted forest stay, we chose this place as a wee change and it did not disappoint, the place is immaculately clean, cosy and warm and furnished well. There is free cake, sherry/port on arrival, a honour bar (which is being run down). The breakfast is delicious, plentiful and has unlimited tea/coffee and fresh orange or apple juice. Mark is absolutely perfect. Only reason it's not a 10 as personally the water pressure in the side room is a bit low for me and the wifi was a bit iffy sometimes. Other than that highly recommended. Fab place.

Fantastic B&B, a warm friendly welcome with lots of advice given about the surrounding area. We were travelling with our 9 month old Labrador and she too was made to feel very welcome plus the ground floor room with direct access to the garden made life so much easier. Stayed for 3 nights in this fantastic characterful property in lovely Pitlochry. Hosts, Mark & Helen could not be more helpful, very friendly and although we know the area well, still had plenty of recommendations. 5 star service with a smile. Accommodation itself is in a great location with parking, hearty delicious breakfast with good choice and all locally sourced to set you up for the day. Sausages in particular were so tasty. Room was good with en-suite and again lots of charm. Has a lovely recently decorated communal lounge with roaring log fire and a bar. Even had complimentary home made cake on offer. Would recommend without hesitation would definitely go back,

Just returned home from our three day break celebrating our Anniversary at this delightful B&B. We have been coming to Pitlochry for many, many years and were so pleased at finding this gem! Mark and Helen are the perfect hosts, welcoming us warmly and explaining everything about their beautiful establishment, nothing is too much trouble for them. Complimentary sherry/port and chocolate cake are very much appreciated and a lovely gesture in their lounge. Great selection of soft and alcoholic drinks are also available from their honesty bar which you can enjoy outside on the patio. You have a large choice of locally sourced produce to choose from at breakfast , all beautifully cooked and prepared by Helen ( they make a mean porridge) . Rooms are very tastefully furnished with everything you need, even a mini fridge and iron and iron board . Modern, spotlessly clean bathrooms with luxury toiletries and large fluffy towels were very welcome. Location is wonderful, just behind the Main Street, where you’ll find most of the shops and restaurants five minutes walk away. Would not hesitate to recommend this B&B and look forward to coming back next year. Thank you so much for a wonderful, relaxing stay, also our Anniversary drink .

I had a wonderful stay at Carra Beag Guest House. The setting is incredibly welcoming, and the house itself is a beautiful old Victorian building full of character. I stayed in a twin room, which was spacious and had a lovely bath — a real treat after a day of exploring. Breakfast was a highlight: you could select what you wanted, and it was freshly prepared each morning. There was plenty of choice, and everything tasted great. The guest house also has a cozy lounge, warmly decorated, with board games and lots of brochures about things to do in the area. Although I hadn’t planned my trip very well, I quickly realized this is the perfect spot for people who enjoy hiking and mountain walks. The surroundings are stunning, and I would absolutely return, both for the beautiful setting and the guest house itself. The service was excellent, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and overall I couldn’t recommend Carra Beag Guest House more highly. A true gem in Pitlochry!

Arrived late afternoon met Mark and was offered free sherry and cake...wow. The bedroom wasn't the biggest but had everything needed including a lovely en suite and beautiful sheets and towels all very clean. Unfortunately we didn't have the best sleep due to the mattress and we told Mark next morning ...while having our superb breakfast made by Helen we saw Mark and his son passing the window and next minute coming back with the offending mattress then taking a new one to the room...he's such a whirlwind he just needs a cape...nothing was too much trouble and I do mean nothing... thank you Mark and Helen for our wonderful two nights stay and we will definitely be back...we found it one of the most pleasurable stays we've had in a while even with the mattress .
