Asterion Suites & Spa - Designed for Adults

Just returned from a 10 night stay at asterion. The hotel rooms were clean and food was very good for all inclusive. Breakfast can get a little repetitive but not really sure what else they could offer! I personally didn’t like that there was only 1 set of cutlery at breakfast and the knife and fork was taken from your dirty plate and placed back on the table - I’m sure I could have asked for a fresh set with no problem but for 5 star it should just be replaced. The lunch on all inclusive is not buffet and is a menu - which we prefer. Food at lunch came out quick and hot. There are a couple of bars walking distance from the hotel which we visited and enjoyed. We caught the bus into chania and Platanias on several occasions, around €2 per travel which is very worth it. 10 mins into Platanias and 30-40 mins into chania. The hotel itself was very relaxed and not much for entertainment but that is what we wanted. The pool area was lovely although the fresh pool towels didn’t come out until late morning - we ended up keeping ours from the day before to use. There are lots of cats and dogs around the area which we had no problem with as we are animal lovers. Overall a very good stay.

Where to start? We booked for 7 nights late season for a peaceful getaway for two exhausted parents of teenagers.The holiday choice did not disappoint as everything was top notch although weather was touch and go but it was expected as out of season so not as problem in our lives. The hotel is a bit out of Chania but 3 buses an hour was adequate for when we visited, Chania is well worth a visit as it’s a beautiful place and somewhat reminiscent of Venice when your at the port side. The room was to die for! Great bed and lovely sea view as well.The rooms were impeccably clean and the ladies who clean them thoroughly deserve a tip for the hard work and care they give in their role.Breakfast was lovely and very satisfactory and everything was seasoned to perfection.Lunch was always great from the pizza to the beef wraps all to die for but….the tasty prize goes to the not so humble apple pie well this was truly out of this world! Big congrats to the chef.Dinner was buffet unless you booked a La carte which we did once and it was lovely but most evenings we were very happy just to have a small plate of dips, salads & bread and then on to George’s bar for a couple before bed.George is an absolute star! If you get the chance ask him to make you a “Zion” cocktail it’s lush! Now on to the staff who all deserve a massive congratulations for being so lovely and really making our holiday I’m really bad for names but the lady who looked after us at breakfast was so lovely and friendly she always had a massive smile for us snd and a cheery “kalimera” every morning. We hired a car with another couple and we went to the botanical gardens snd also the gorge as the views are spectacular! All in all I would highly recommend the Asterion. The pool wax also fine as we swam a few times as did others x the sea was lovely snd warm but be careful as the current is very strong and you can quickly lose control. Thank you so much to the excellent staff at Asterion Hotel Suites and Spa, who ensured we enjoyed a wonderful stay. This is an excellent hotel. The grounds are beautiful and though the location is fairly remote, it was great to have a fully relaxing time. The hotel is quiet, our room was immaculate and featured everything we needed and more! The maintenance guys are brilliant, the spa treatments were wonderful! Every member of staff we met were genuinely concerned with ensuring we had the very best time. The quality of food and drink available was exceptional. We would be happy to recommend this hotel, and we will visit again in the future!

My partner and I stayed at Asterion Suites and Spa for 10 nights in May. We had an amazing time and couldn’t fault the hotel. The hotel is completely immaculate, we had a sandstorm while we were away which covered everything in the hotel in orange sand. The staff worked tirelessly for 2 days to make sure everything was completely clean and free of dust and sand. Even to the point of cleaning the leaves on plants in the outside dining area and wooden paths and umbrellas at the beach. Our room was spacious and clean, far larger than we actually needed. The bed was comfortable, we both slept really well. The bathroom was nice, and the shower held good pressure. The minibar was restocked daily, along with the Nespresso coffee pods. Maid service was really good. The food was excellent and there was always a wide variety of things to choose from at breakfast and dinner. The lunch menu was a la carte, the portions were very large! But always really tasty and of good quality. The a la carte Cretan restaurant was also excellent and we had a lovely meal there too. All the staff worked really hard and couldn’t do enough for you and went out of their way to make sure your needs were fully accommodated. A special shout out to Goran, the buffet restaurant manager who looked after us from day 1 and remembered all our drinks orders and rushed round after us. He went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing time. My only minor suggestions would be to have a full length mirror somewhere in the room other than in the wardrobe. Also to have a soap dish for the bar of soap as it slides off the side into the sink quite frequently. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and felt very relaxed. We would definitely recommend Asterion Suites and Spa, and we would most definitely return!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The amenities are great the hotel is well kept and extremely clean. We had a swim up room which was really nice, we arrived really late and they had made sure there was some meats and cheese's in the fridge for us which was a nice touch. The staff are welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Goran who works in the restaurant nothing was to much trouble! Rulah at the pool bar was also lovely kept our drinks fully topped up! The food was exceptional we can honestly say we never had a bad meal we had the all inclusive package, you can eat pretty much all throughout the day and there's plenty of choice for everyone! We would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday and a beautiful hotel. Thank you

From the moment we arrived, the service at this hotel was warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful, huge thanks especially to Manolls and Maria for looking after us. We booked all inclusive, the food was amazing and drinks plentiful. The hotel vibe is very chilled and very relaxing as adults only. I would totally recommend this hotel if you need to relax, it’s so peaceful and quiet.
