Could this be the perfect hotel? Certainly the best one I have been to. Our weather was perfect but we could have been happy strolling in the amazing spaces and sitting in the comfiest of perfectly placed chairs of all descriptions. On top of this the staff in all the various parts were so very friendly, helpful and considerate. We'll be back!

We are here now , our third visit but have not been for a few years. This wonderful Hotel is even better than we remembered. The room is so spacious, clean and has everything you could possibly need. The breakfast which can be taken in several of their restaurants ( we have tried them all) is just perfect! Whatever you fancy for breakfast, you can have ! Quality ingredients and no queuing, freshly squeezed orange juice is sooo good too! The Hotel is stunning as are the outdoor areas, pools are beautiful and no problem getting a bed whatever time you choose. for families there is so much for the children to do ! We love the piano bar in the evening for a couple of cocktails, the waiters are charming and make your evening very special. All the staff here are kind, friendly and professional from check in to the housekeepers, they always greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. We had a lovely surprise in our room for my Husbands birthday, the table was decorated and a chocolate birthday cake in the fridge. I didn’t request this, they just did it which is wonderful, thank you!! We will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you !!!

Biggest issue is lack of sunbeds and umbrellas. It’s not a holiday if you have to get up at 7am to get a bed for you and family for day. Absolute joke and not policed at all despite hotel saying they are dealing with situation. Room fan system is also poor with no option on AC temperature just 1 to 3 on fan setting. Positives - good position, clean, staff helpful and Italian restaurant good value.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing location. Pools and restaurants out of this world. Great family friendly hotel. Would highly recommend. Loved our stay in the Duplex room. Will return.

Excellent location in Playa Blanca Our rooms were a very good size with amazing sea views. Excellent food and service. Can’t wait to come back.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Princesa Yaiza. The hotel came highly recommended to us, and so we were excited and had high expectations of our holiday. On arrival, we were quickly checked in, given a welcome drink, and a map of the hotel. Our rooms were located in the family block ‘D’. We were left to get on our way and find our rooms. The hotel is a maze. We ended up going up and down lifts, wandering through empty, dimly lit corridors with barely a person around to ask. The signage was confusing and felt like we were going round in circles. A 5* resort should be taking you to your rooms - especially with such a confusing layout of hotel. We finally found our rooms and were happy with them - nice views, spacious and comfortable beds. There was a fridge, sink, some cupboards and a coffee machine. No worktop space, cutlery or plates etc which would have been really helpful. The other thing which I really didn’t like in the rooms was the furnishings had so much rope as part of the decoration. This is fine on tables, but the drawer handles were rope and the bed frame had rope around it. It was absolutely filthy and obviously very hard to keep clean. It took us several days to get used to the layout of the hotel, and it became the biggest disappointment of our stay. Our block was connected to the main hotel by a long underground tunnel. We had to walk through the tunnel each time we wanted to go to kids clubs, the reception, the beach, the kids entertainment show, the shops, another hotel pool, and it became such a chore for us. For context, the walk from our room to kids club without any children walking was 12 minutes. I know other reviews say it’s not a problem, but with young kids and potential for back and forth several times a day, it does become a bit tiresome. Going to another pool in the main hotel sounds great, but then you would be further from your room to go back up/down through the day. You would also need to get up at 7am to make sure you got sunbeds! For that reason, we based ourselves at the family pool in our block most days. The family pool was nice, some days the sunbeds were an issue and other days not so much. They are very close together though and there are not enough umbrellas. I asked for an umbrella one day and was told there aren’t any spare. I also had a power washer sprayed all around our sunbeds one day at 11am as the floor was dirty. Why not be cleaning before the pool opens?! The pool area was often littered due to the winds and the bins too small to cope with rubbish. There was a lack of drinks choice at the bar, service was a hit and miss (no lounger service), and atmosphere was lacking. It was the little things like this that meant the hotel is not 5* standard. On our last day they had a pool party at the family block. It was a breath of fresh air to have music, a slide and some general holiday atmosphere. The kids loved it and it was nice to see.
