On my second day of my trip, I informed my waiter that I have a shellfish allergy. I ordered a fish taco by the pool side which was prepared fried and with coleslaw, sauce, tomato and avocado. As I been eating my food I started to realize something wasn't right and ended up spitting out my food. At that point I realized the resort served me shrimp which I am highly allegic to. Serving someone shrimp when they ordered fish is a huge mistake. And your fried fish and rock shrimp look the same because it is all breaded tempura style with all the extra stuff on top (it isn't something you can distinguish at first glance without dissecting the taco).My mouth and throat got itchy, my tongue got heavy and my face was getting swollen. I had to run to my room with a family member to take Benadryl and spend the rest of my day in my room sick while they watched me to make sure my symptoms didnt get worse and I didnt have to go to the hospital. I wasn't able to go back out until late that evening for dinner. My day was completely ruined. I also spoke to a manager before I left that told me the resort would issue me a refund, however I had to reach out to ******* to inform them of the situation that occured.When I returned home and contacted ******* they opened a case and reach out to the management team. ******* then informed me that the management team is refusing to issue me any form of refund.I have traveled the world and have never been in such a life threatening situation before.
