Hotel Caserio

Stayed here in August, we booked here mainly because of the price. For half board it was literally half price of anywhere in the area. We were expecting to have to eat out most nights after reading some of the reviews. In reality the food was general very good with choice of 4 meats. There was an odd night when nothing really took our fancy but that can happen anywhere. With half board you pay for drinks when ordering or book them to the room and they are not over priced like some hotels. The hotel needs a little maintenance to bring it back to where it was when renovated. Hotel is a few minutes walk to Irish centre and 20 minutes walk down to the main beach. We always got a taxi back as it’s all up hill which cost about 4 euros. But an easy walk down in the morning. All the staff we come across were friendly and the pool girl is a bit nuts (in a good way) Given the price we payed I would 100% stay at this hotel again.

Hotel in general ok. Lack of tea / coffee / milk in room. Housekeeping team fantastic. Restaurant staff great. Food very hit and miss. Only have access to hot drinks in a morning, have to pay at bar in the evening. Plenty of sun loungers around pool. We preferred the chilled environment of the roof terrace. Towel regime needs better clarification. Ours were taken from our loungers and it was hardworking trying to get replacements as we had already handed our card in. Took an age to check in on our arrival. Most of the reception staff were fantastic. One guy wasn't the best. Expected a little more.from a 4*

The hotel itself is nice, more modern than most in the area, we arrived to a dirty room with hairs all over bathroom and bedroom, presumed whoever had it last had a late check out, was generally clean every day after. Room located above bins .. not ideal, the cleaners have a nasty habit of leaving your terrace door open after cleaning, be aware room will have baby cockroaches in, had on several occasions, the Aircon in room won't go lower than 16° and they most definitely need re gassing, not cold at all, pool and loungers area is great, breakfast was very good, dinner is terrible, same almost every night, meats are dry and chewy, salad bar is fantastic , dinner really needs improvement, also you are given allocated time slots for dinner 6pm-7.45pm for dinner spoke too two couples who have been here every year for past 4 years who told us they won't be returning as quality has gone down hill, we have been coming to playa delivery ingles for over 7 years and experienced the better and the worst and this sits in the middle, it's a vibe hotel, the only thing that gives any vibe are the sun loungers and sun beds the rest of the experience is identical to every other hotel, with that, I would return to this hotel, with some hope of minor changes, overall it's a nice hotel l, the more you see the more you see the wear and tear, just needs some love and care Key points Breakfast-good Dinner - needs improvement (salad bar 10/10) Rooms - Aircon bad and odd roaches( But modern and minimalistic ) Entertainment- okay Pool - fantastic- some broken loungers and parasol Priced- drinks and snacks menu good prices Also they take €150 deposit at commencing stay- this is a first for me to experience in several years, I don't know why there is nothing on your room to break, everything you have to hire? But not a real issue just something to be aware of . - also as a vibe hotel, this is not an adults only children and welcome and will be there , so if your hoping to escape children I would advise looking elsewhere, but couples, families and senior is ideal Final rating ⭐⭐⭐+ The missing star is the dinner and the general TLC1
