Condovac la Costa All Inclusive

Small resort was nice and it was clean. Staff was not organized at times with some dumb rules and food was not up to standard in my opinion.

The food is fair, some things didn’t work like light in kiitchen, staff not friendly, especially food staff, we had to find out where thing was offered, minimal assistance by staff, hard to make dinner reservations at special restaurants, & floors need to be cleaner.

The property is terraced down a steep hillside, so the views are incredible. The food is delicious and the water is potable. There is a little truck shuttle that goes around the property but I preferred to walk to the main resort from my bungalow duplex unit. The rooms are older and dated but very serviceable. The beds are basic but pretty comfortable. There is AC in the bed room and the living room. Plus a small patio out front. There a two cats that roam the main area of the resort. They are very friendly and will try to get you to feed them. I also saw iguanas, Varigated squirrels, birds, raccoons, and heard lots of frogs. The beach is decent but the water has rip current, so swimming isn’t really recommended. There are 5 pools to enjoy and plenty of cabana space in the shade. The nightly entertainment starts at 8:30. The spa is a highlight and you can schedule unlimited treatments for $285 per day. The Unique Costa Rica tour company will try to make you go to a time share presentation but just say no thank you. The transportation is easy to locate at the airport and the vehicles are clean.

Condovac is located about a half hour from the Liberia airport, on Playa Hermosa. We stayed 5 days. PROS: *We had a romantic room. It had a beautiful view we enjoyed. *Our room was clean and Giselle did a great job keeping it that way. *View from the hilltop restaurant and pools was beautiful. *The food was excellent. The buffet was similar everyday, they always had a few different items. We enjoyed Roman's service. *The staff were all very friendly. *There are shuttles to bring you down to the beach or up to the restaurant. There we plenty and did not have to wait long, unless at high traffic times like sunset. CONS: *With the romantic room we had a better grade of alcohol available. Unfortunately it was at the beach bar and usually out of stock and extremely limited. *The beach bar is not really on the beach, actually up the hill by the beach, not inviting and the drinks were not good, except the Pina colata *The show was only in Spanish *This hotel is geared toward locals *There are 3 a la cart restaurants, but making reservations and getting a menu was challenging at first. *There are not enough chairs by the pools or beach. Would we return? Probably not

Our group enjoyed the property very much. The hill was a challenge but used the shuttle. Wait time most of time was very short. We did enjoy Oscar in the dining area. Took care of us more than expected and helped us line up the speciality restaurants. Also Randall lined up tours for us and did excellent and so easy to work with. Very convenient right at resort. We could not have asked for a better vacation

This resort is family and pet friendly. If you’re looking for a party resort, this is far from it. They have festivities at night but they’re all family/kid based. The pool area is beautiful! Amazing views but as mentioned before it’s a family based resort which means, kids all around. It’s located in a safe area, walking distance to the beach. It was an all inclusive resort, food and drinks included. Breakfast was great but my friend and I were not a big fan of lunch or dinner. Pool bar would open around noon and close early around 5pm. In order to eat outside the buffet area you have to make reservations by 9am which we kept forgetting today. Wifi was super weak and we had little to no reception in our room which was 508. Shuttles took a while to pick you up from parking lot/lobby/ restaurant/ room. Be prepared to walk from your room area to the listed location mentioned above. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive.

Really very basic. Room was spacious and well equipped but furniture was a bit tired. Staff were really helpful and friendly. And good location. The real issue was the quality and selection of food - more like a school canteen (and not a good one at that!). Stretches the definition of all inclusive.

Friendly. Costa Rican family hotel. Black sand beach with gentle waves. Snorkeling is NOT impressive here. Pools and dining/entertainment areas are at the top with condos scaling down the hill to the beach. Good food and plenty of it. Drawbacks: kayaks etc cost extra (advertised as included in all-inclusive) amd shuttle drivers give priority to other employees over guests.

The staff were nice but I didn’t like the fact that the food was not that good especially for dinner and lunch but breakfast was good. Also at 9pm everything is closed like people come on vacation to enjoy and it doesn’t really makes sense for everything Inside the resort to be closed at 9pm. But the view and the resort was beautiful and also there wasn’t that much activities at night and days since they close at 9pm and they also needs to be a little bit more diverse when it comes to the activities since a lot of us didn’t speak Spanish and couldn’t understand anything which made us not really wanting to participate
