The most wonderful experience I had in Nepal. Govinda and his family were very welcoming and the room had everything you would need. The farm is located in a beautiful space and you have a wonderful view of the mountains when the weather is clear. There is not much to do in the area besides swim in the lake but this makes it is the best place to come to rest. But above all, the food was the absolute best! All prepared with ingredient build on their farm. I was allowed to help Chetana in the kitchen and learn from her which was a very special experience for me. I would highly recommend staying here for a week during your stay in Nepal!

"Hacia lo Salvaje" is a travel agency in Spain that organize trips and getaways that put life at the center, connecting with initiatives that demonstrate that another life is possible, a life in harmony with nature. That's why, during our trip to Nepal, we spent a few days with Govidna and Chetana to learn more about their project. The experience was wonderful, it felt too short, and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommended. We spent days working the land, learning about agriculture, the properties of plants, Chetana's cooking, birdwatching, yoga, enjoying the idyllic location, and above all, the love and kindness of this family that we will always carry in our hearts. I highly recommend a stay at this farm for at least 3 days! Govinda and Chetana have a beautiful home, farm and welcoming family. The meals provided are delicious and sourced by foods grown on the organic farm, there are many opportunities to learn on the farm or relax and the family generously share of their life in Nepal. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need (including reliable hot showers). Begnas Lake is nearby for swimming and there are walking paths nearby. An amazing experience in Nepal.

I read about this place and it instantly resonated. I saw that it is a farm to learn about farming, cooking and sustainable living and that's all totally my vibe. But when I arrived to the peace of the hillside, the beauty of the mountains and lakes, the nourishment of the organic meals, and the kindness and care of the family ... well, I just sank into this haven. My entire being was engulfed in the nurturing and rest it so needed and after almost a week, I feel restored to my usual self and ready to embark on another trek. I highly recommend this farm homestay to anyone wanting respite from their consumer lifestyles to come learn and heal and whole again.

One of the best family vacations at this organic farmhouse at Hilltop, which is overlooking a lake and Himalayan Peaks. We really enjoyed our 4 days stay with Govind and his family. We were served home cooked meals consisting of organic vegetables grown at the farm, which used to be plucked in front of us. The clear Himalayan Peaks view along with the lake view was icing on the cake.

Perfect place to stay long time with a kind Nepali family. The routine is so cool, the food of shetana is the best of Nepal, the view is Amazing. You can learn a lot about nepali culture, gardening, cooking and autonomy life... The rooms are clean and simple. I Hope I'll be back ! Love from France

I was at MVEF for six weeks and I enjoyed my stay here a lot. It was a great experience and I was really happy. So, if you are looking for a true immersion in Nepalese life and cultural MVEF is the best place for that. Govinda and Chetana are best hosts, they are very kind, helpful, welcoming and friendly, and Siddhartha, their 9 years-old son, is a nice joyful lovely kid. They make you feel as part of their family, they are great. Their farm is located near Pokhara on top of a hill with amaizing views over Begnas Lake and the Annapurna range.They produce their own food in a sustainable way because they believe that food is health so, beeing here you will have the opportunity of learning first-hand with Govinda everything about organic and sustainable farming, ecology, medicinal plantas, healthy food, renewable energy... Beside, Chetana is a great cook and you will learn with her all about healthy dishes and Nepalese cuisine. You will enjoy a lot her meals. Many thanks to the family and volunteers who shared this wonderful experience with me. So, don't hesitate and come to MVEF!!!

This place is a paradise on earth. The family can speak perfectly english and they are really kind. Govinda can teach you a lot about plants, fruits and animals ; as well as Begnas lake and around. Chetanah can cook you the best nepali food in the country (we tried a lot of different, but she is the best). You can learn from her natural medicine also. Siddhartha is a super smart 9years old boy really enjoyable to play with🥹 They only eat what their beautiful farm can product. From there you can enjoy one of the best view point of the valley. 🏔️🌄 You need something ? Just tell them, they will manage it 😀 We spend 1month there : coming as a guest, leaving as a friend ❤️ Your around Pokhara and MVEF is free ?? Don’t hesitate !!!

I spent two extraordinary months at Mountain View Eco Farm. Govinda and Chetana are really helpful, kind and welcoming. They always do their best to make you feel at home. Govinda can recommend many activities, places to visit and hikes. Chetana is a real chef. She cooks all the typical Nepalese dishes to perfection. If you want to spend time in a beautiful and peaceful place where you can learn about organic farming, the benefits of plants, Nepalese food and culture, don't hesitate to come and experience an authentic adventure.
