Villa Shanti - Heritage Hotel for Foodies

Needs to fixed a shower curtain infront of the shower place, Its feel awkward for guest to shower. Staffs are very helpful. Anil and Riya are very friendly. The place is very near to the beach and the market. I will recomend my family and friends to stay this hotel.

We dined at this restaurant twice, and both experiences were exceptional. The food was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly attentive. A special mention goes to Fouizeya, who, despite the restaurant being extremely busy, ensured we got a table as quickly as possible and made sure our experience was perfect. She deserves full marks for her excellent service.

Gorgeous heritage hotel in the heart of French part of Pondicherry. Delicious ice tea on arrival - gorgeous rooms and lovely bathrooms. Fabulous bar and restaurant with fresh and tasty food. Both dinner and breakfasts. Shame my room was on the top floor but good work out for me!

Went here for candle light dinner with my partner on the occasion of our anniversary and I must say that they didn't disappoint at all. The ambience was great, food was good and especially the hospitality was exceptional. Anil was the one who catered to us and I must say that he did an amazing job by being really warm and hospitable. Would recommend for anybody who's looking to have an intimate fine-dining experience.

We ate at Villa Shanti Restaurant 3 times during our 9 day stay at La Villa Hotel in Puducherry. The 2 hotels are affiliated. The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and there is a good choice. Service is excellent and everyone is very helpful and friendly, in particular Anil and Lakshmi who served us every time. The restaurant is very smart and lively and the bar staff produce excellent cocktails.

Delicious and good place highly recommended to all. Good ambience and the stay was good with all the people and staff are very friendly.. this is a great place for hangeout and can explore more. Easily accessible to all amenities... .........

The food was too good , hospitality was top notch loved every bit of our stay over here. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and Mr.Anil was too kind to host us and made our experience more joyful.

We booked for our tour of southern India 9 months before. We wanted a quaint frenchy place to stay. A group of 4 couples. We were given 4 different rooms, one couple a nice large room with a very high bed, another couple a medium size simple room, thevthird couple was ushered into a steaming hot room with a broken AC. The hotel changed them into another relatively small room, which was OK. We were given a poky small room on top floor, with a leaking AC. A small bed ( double, not even queen) and the TV placed on the left wall so much that it cannot be seen from the bed. I might add that in this tiny double room there is only one chair in front of the TV! Really? And I repeat we booked 9 months ago and they could not accommodate us in a better room. Three high floors to climb without a lift. We are not a young couple either! Then the food was pretentiously French without taste. All 4 courses were less than mediocre. I am very sorry, Villa Shanti, but I cannot recommend your Riad at all.

Excellent ambiance, amazing food and best team, specially Malini and Anil at the restaurant. The food was tasty and All staff were so friendly...keep it up the good work 👍👍 Will surely visit again to dine in with my friends
