Hibiscus Resort & Spa - Official Onsite Reception & Check IN

Spotless convenient and well appointed. Close to the town centre nice pool and ours had everything we needed. Owner Peter was helpful and provided clear directions. Second time here and will come back. Loved it All the resort is well maintained pool cleaned every day and garden well maintained

We recently stayed in the Daintree Junior Suite and enjoyed our 5 night stay here. Information and support received in the lead up to our stay was great. The suite was almost as shown on the website although there were a few minor details not up to the standard of the rest of the unit. The biggest issue for me was the state of the hairdryer which was sticky to the touch and not pleasant to use. This was mentioned to reception the morning after arrival with an indication that housekeeping would look at this however it was not replaced while we were there. The second key to the unit did not work when used and we almost got locked out outside of reception hours (luckily we checked unlocking before closing the door and switched keys). It appeared to be bent and was replaced for us with another key. A couple of decorative details did not appear to have been upgraded along with the rest of the unit (e.g. inside of the wardrobe and a broken bedroom shutter screen). For the price we paid I think these could easily be addressed and improve the overall impression. Other than the minor niggles we were happy with our choice. We loved the view to the pool from our balcony with just enough privacy to enjoy sitting there. The pool was the perfect temperature for us, not too hot and not too cold. We did wonder why the spa pool wasn't warmer but that wasn't a big issue for us. We always managed to find a couple of loungers by the pool when we wanted them and liked that there was a variety of seating areas both in and out of the sun. The balinese feel of the resort and lush planting added to the experience. Really liked the location too, easy walking distance to the marina, restaurants and shops (including a Coles supermarket) in one direction and 4 mile beach in the other. If the minor niggles were addressed this would be a 5 star review.

Great location and friendly staff, but the room felt outdated. The toilet was very old, the bath was tiny (only use for a child!) , and the TV was old with limited free to air channels. Surprised that a 4-star hotel charged extra for fresh towels, turn-down service, and use of basic facilities like the laundry. A few updates would go a long way and make this place amazing.

Always wanted to stay here at Hibiscus resort & so glad we did. Beautiful & clean, spacey apartment and Angelique in reception was so friendly & welcoming. Very private rooms & the pool has a beautiful tropical feel to it. Close walking distance to beach & town to just be able to ealk around. We will definitely will stay again. Our favourite place so far in Port Douglas

I couldn't rate the Hibiscus more highly. Brilliant location with great family friendly amenities. Staff were so helpful in giving us local tips on places to eat and things to do as well. It was our second staying here and again didn't disappoint. We'll be back.
