Cambria Hotel Portland - Pearl District

Wow—what a fantastic stay! I can't say enough good things about the Cambria Hotel in Portland. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Pearl District and just steps from the Park Blocks. We arrived on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted by Max and Casey at the front desk. They were both so warm and welcoming, and had us checked in faster than I expected. Plus, our room was ready for an early check-in (such a rare treat!). We had a King room on the 4th floor, and it was wonderful—super comfy bed, sparkling clean bathroom, and everything felt fresh and modern. After dropping off our bags, we headed out to explore. The Saturday Market, Powell’s Bookstore, and Jake’s Famous Crawfish Restaurant were all just a quick stroll away. It made getting around so easy! A little tip for future guests: skip the valet parking if you can. It's really pricey. We found a convenient outdoor lot less than a block away and parked our oversized SUV for just $20 for 24 hours, compared to $68 for valet. Definitely worth it! The staff were fantastic. The room was incredibly clean. There’s a restaurant downstairs, Recess, they are open for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. The hotel is in walking distance of many shops and restaurants. It’s about two blocks away from Powell’s bookstore. Parking is valet only, the valet staff was also extremely kind. You do have to text them to let them know you need your car, they then give you an estimated wait time. I actually did not ask how much parking cost, but I believe it is $55 a night (I should’ve asked to make sure). I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland, mostly because of the staff (I believe his name was Andrew, he was amazing). Also, the location is so convenient.

I recently stayed here during a chaotic travel week (missed trains), and the service was the only thing that kept me sane. I want to make sure I give credit to the front line team. Casey in the mornings was amazing helping me check-in and ensuring I was caffeinated! Jessica was super sweet helping me with my luggage and providing some stellar Portland bakery tips! Drew, thank you for being great as well! Also, the maintenance crew from Irvine, CA was awesome, it was fun to chat about SoCal and play Geo Trivia! Everyone was lovely and helpful. Thank you Wesley for helping me feel safe in a new city as a solo traveler, and for being genuine and engaging, it really turned a stressful couple of days around.

This is a wonderful new hotel. The location is central to the Pearl District and I could walk everywhere ! The rooms have thoughtful details in the design that are great. Very comfortable beds!

Conveniently located in the Pearl district with a beautiful, open lobby and very friendly staff. I dined at Recess for breakfast and Marcus provided fantastic service! My bacon/cheddar omelette was one of the best I’ve had in quite some time. The menu offers a nice range, from quick grab-and-go options to more involved made-to-order dishes, so there’s something for whatever kind of morning you’re having. Cassie in the kitchen was also a pleasure to chat with— I’ll definitely be back!
