Hotel Ikona

Wonderful location, perfect for a city break, in the old town, easy walking distance to all major areas.. Super friendly and attentive staff, welcoming and helpful. Very clean and comfortable rooms, nicely decorated, great value for money.. Delicious breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay here as a couple with a baby. We weren’t aware that the hotel didn’t have a lift but we were ideally placed on the first floor so the stairs weren’t a problem. All of the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was large and spacious, very clean and a powerful hot shower. Baby cot was provided no problem. TV was working as were all sockets and lights. Comfortable bed and temperature of room. Breakfast was calm, quiet and pleasant with a menu of hot food to choose from and a buffet of meats, cheese, bread and singular portions of yogurts, cereals and our favourite, panna cotta. The location of this hotel is really what sets it apart with it being just a few steps away from the start of Charles Bridge, it really is a hidden gem. We also had a crepe in its sister hotel which was very delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside we encountered was that the wine bar downstairs was open til midnight and, being on the first floor, the noise travelled up the uncarpeted stairs very badly and it was very loud in our room. However, once the bar closed, the rest of the night was silent.

We had a perfect stay at the hotel. We arrived mid morning and were given our room straight away which meant we could drop our things and get out to explore, The room was exceptional, on the second floor of the hotel, very spacious, separate toilet and bathroom with a terrace. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice - fruit, cereal, pastries with choice of cooked dishes from the menu. The staff were very helpful and always smiling, gave us recommendations for places to eat and help with transport options. For us, the location was perfect, close to many of the sights. The wine bar is also a nice place to end the evenings with a glass or two.

This hotel is a gem. We were lucky enough to stay here for our two nights and Prague and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hotel is extremely cozy and quiet. Tucked away by the Charles bridge, the location is prime. Very close to walk to any main parts of town. This hotel should be 5 stars. Everything was great, from the room and cleanliness, to a great breakfast and also awesome wine bar next door. Martin was so friendly and answered any questions we had, along with suggesting some things to do in town. It was lovely seeing him every morning and chatting with him. We also checked in late after reception was closed but retrieving our keys was very easy and convenient. Cannot wait to stay here again on our next trip to Prague!

Good and convenient location, next to Charlie Bridge but on a quiet street, 10 minutes walk to central square in historic center. Very friendly and helpful staffs, Peter provided a lot of tourism information at check in, the other gentleman gave accurate directions too. Many thanks for that. The room and bedding are very clean, especially the shower, good heating system in winter season. Breakfast was nice with menu choices. Would stay again and recommend this place to everyone.

Was an amazing experience, food, service, everything was outstanding. I don’t know the name of the receptionist guy, I think Martin is, he was extremely helpful in our activities around Praga.

The place is really nice, though do not forget your earplugs. There is a new restaurant/club in this street and they have the loudspeakers on the street. Sleeping is impossible as long as the music is on. Either you ask a room at the backside or you stay away of this place (or you bring your noise counselling headsets or earplugs). If you want to have a calm evening/night, this is not your place to be.

We had a brilliant stay at Hotel Ikona. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were lovely and the beds were so comfortable! The breakfast spread was great and the location is spot on, we walked everywhere! What more could you want? We’ll definitely be back!

We loved this hotel - it was modern and clean and the location was perfectly located for walking to the sights for tourists. The included breakfast was great too. This hotel was our favorite of several we stayed at during a 2 week trip to Germany/Czech.
