Deerview Lodge & Cabins - Princeton BC

We traveled to Princeton in our way to Chilliwack. Stayed there over night. The room was clean, spacious, well-equipped and pet friendly. The owners were very kind and supportive and in general, we faced no issues.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating - 'upgrading' us to a cabin (from a motel room) because the noise from the neighbours was intolerable. However, unfortunately both the motel room and the cabin we stayed in were tired, worn, ugly and barely functional. In our cabin the bathroom plug did not fit the sink, there were cobwebs in the corners of the bedroom, the head of the twin bed was directly under a dusty, old, patched-together aircon unit barely hanging on the wall, the curtain rail on the front window was six inches below the top of the window, there was no mosquito netting on the bedroom window which meant it was impossible to keep open (during the summer heat), the bathroom floor was sticky, the carpet in the bedroom was worn and badly stained, the paint job was terrible and the furniture was very old and tired. It's also right beside the highway so the road noise is your companion. All of this might have been okay if the price had been reflective, but for $159 per night? I wish I could have left a positive review, but this was the only place available on the night we needed accommodation and now I understand why.
