STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE — COMPLETE SCAM & NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE I waited before writing this review because, after all the misery I endured at this so-called hotel, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to believe their empty promises. Big mistake. Let me walk you through this disgraceful experience to make sure no one else falls into the same trap. My partner and I booked a suite for nearly €800 for 4 nights. Sounds decent, right? Wrong. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Alesandra, who acted more like a bad actor in a low-budget soap opera than a hotel receptionist. All we got was fake enthusiasm, empty words, and cringe-worthy lines. I am a paying guest — not your “my love,” not your “sweetie.” Grow up. Learn to speak to clients like an actual professional. Then came the room. And what a joke it was. No kitchen. No couch. No space. Nothing like the photos. Just a shoebox. At the end of our confusing check-in, she admitted we had been given the wrong room and promised we’d either be compensated or moved to the suite we actually paid for. The room we got? Listed at €319,00 on their website. That’s half the price of what we paid. Fraud, anyone? That night, the electricity cut out. Air conditioning failed. No hot water. No hairdryer. We had to get ready for a wedding — in the dark, sweaty, and frustrated. When we came back? Even worse: 33°C in the room. Absolutely unbearable. Every day, we asked for an update. Every single time they said, “We’ll handle it at the end.” Spoiler: they didn’t. Meanwhile, there was no bar service. No staff. No way to get a drink or food. You could go buy something in a shop — but good luck keeping anything cold when the electricity keeps dying. Then came the final day — the absolute nightmare climax of this disastrous stay. After three days of messaging them, begging for the refund they kept promising, I waited at reception. And what happened? I was accused of being connected to some other guests who supposedly left without paying — complete strangers, by the way. The owner threatened to call the police, which I WELCOMED, because that would’ve at least forced them to face reality. Of course, he didn’t — because he knew damn well his claims were nonsense. After FIVE HOURS of ridiculous, humiliating discussions, we finally received €120 in cash, and the rest? “It will be transferred right away.” Spoiler again: 18 days later, nothing. No refund. No invoice for my business. No reply. Just complete silence. Apparently, he wanted me to hunt down the people who left to get my money back. Seriously? What kind of circus is this? Our stay at this hotel this past weekend was completely unacceptable. Your manager was drinking alcohol during working hours. Power and water outages happened constantly, leaving rooms unbearably hot. The pre discussed breakfast was a joke: nothing fresh, nothing extra, and nothing available the next day. Staff wore casual clothing, avoided eye contact, sat on the floor watching shows on their phones, and left messes until the next day. Room assignments didn’t match bookings, and staff entered rooms without warning or reason. This wasn’t a stay – it was a nightmare from start to end.

Einer Buchung in dieser Unterkunft ist unbedingt abzuraten! Die Webseiten-Bilder sind beschönigt und entsprechen nicht der Wahrheit! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut ungerechtfertigt, die Preise und das Niveau der Unterkunft entsprechen einem Einstern-Hotel – völlig überbewertet und auf abgezockt! Das Ankommen im Borgo Bevagna war ein absoluter Schreckensmoment. Die angebliche Reception (bestehend aus einer Hütte), war nicht besetzt, die Anlage chaotisch und ungepflegt, die verlassene Bar völlig verdreckt. Hinter der Hotelmauer ist der Müll deponiert, ein ekliger Gestank kam uns entgegen bei der Hitze. Das Putzpersonal nahm unsere Koffer entgegen und deponierte diese in der unbewachten Reception-Hütte. Eine Stunde später als wir die Koffer holen wollten, war die Türe weit offen – unbewacht, zugänglich für jedermann. Der desolate Zustand der Anlage veranlasste uns zur Reklamation. Die Antwort war schlichtweg verheerend und gelogen. Es hätte kurz zuvor ein Sturm geherrscht (wir waren zur selben Zeit in der Nähe und können bestätigen, dass KEIN Sturm stattgefunden hat). Weiter hätte das Resort kurz zuvor eine Gruppe beherbergt, die das Chaos veranstaltet hätten. (Auch diese Aussage kann nicht der Wahrheit entsprechen, denn die Verunreinigungen, der Abfall, das Unkraut, die miese Umgebung, etc. stammen nicht von Kunden – und wäre dem so, warum war man nicht mit aufräumen beschäftigt?). Mit dieser Aussage bestätigen uns die Hotelverantwortlichen, dass die Bedingungen nicht akzeptabel sind. Aufgrund des schrecklichen Zustandes der Anlage haben wir umgehend ein neues Hotel aufgesucht und eine Rückerstattung beim Borgo Bevagna beantragt. Leider ohne Antwort bis heute! Als Kunde fühlen wir uns absolut nicht ernst genommen. Hätten wir bei der Planung Tripadvisor gelesen, hätten wir nie gebucht. Die schlechten Bewertungen dieser Unterkunft sind absolut zutreffend! Eine Katastrophe!
