Marina Bayview Gran Canaria - Adults Only

Just back from our 3rd visit it to Marina Bayview, we love it. The hotel is so relaxing, the pool area and bar are a great place to just chill out if you dont want to head to the beach. We found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming, the rooms (we were on the ground floor across from the pool) are clean and spacious. We didnt have breakfast but enjoyed a few beers and cocktails and a couple of lunches. If you want a relaxing hotel then this is it, but its also an ideal spot if you want to visit the comnercial centre and bars roundabout, yes there are steps but its worth the climb, but if you would rather not you can always jump in a taxi for about 6 euros. We can wait to visit again!!

Our 4th Holiday to Marina Bay View and also booked for September for 2 Weeks If you are looking for a relaxing Holiday Marina Bay View is definitely the place to be it’s Absolutely Outstanding and they never fail to impress Outstanding Customer Service and a Brilliant Dedicated Team Always Happy and Smiling and Polite Hospitality is Fantastic and they always make you feel Special Exceptionally Clean Rooms with Amazing views of the Harbour Pool are so quiet and Stunningly Beautiful NAIHO on reception is Amazing always Smiling and has an Amazing Personality so so Helpful and always there to help nothing is a problem He’s Simply The Best !!!

This was our second stay at the Marina Bayview Hotel and it lived up to our expectations. The hotel is quiet, clean and well located above Puerto Base. Some different levels so be prepared for stairs and climbs. Our room was in the B sector Select room. The only minus was the poorly organised check in. We had to wait 2,5 h for our room at the pool bar. I would recommend the hotel to couples who enjoy a quiet holiday in GC Puerto Rico.

Average hotel an stay... Breakfast was cold again this year, not sure why they can't keep food hot? Sunbeds are reserved despite being asked not too. What an amazing place… clean, aesthetically pleasing, great staff, tasty food and at great prices. Only downside is there is no food and drink served in the evening which is a shame as would have been nice to chill and eat/drink in the pool bar. Definitely not recommended for people with any kind of mobility as there are a LOT of steps (we named them the steps of doom 😂) to access the nearby restaurants and bars. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return!

We stayed at Marina Bay View Apartments for 10 days in August 2025, having previously stayed several times at Marina Suites across the road. Overall, this is a mixed review. The apartments themselves are lovely, though on the small side for what’s classed as a Deluxe Suite. We paid €270 for the upgrade, but the space wasn’t noticeably bigger than the Select Suite, and it actually came with an extra 20–30 steps to climb on top of the 150+ steps already needed to reach the complex. While the steps can be avoided by taking a taxi from the main reception to Morgan Mall (€6), I didn’t feel the upgrade justified the extra cost. Reception later explained the main differences were an extra balcony seat and a “better” view – but in reality, most apartments already have a great sea view, so I wouldn’t pay extra for Deluxe again. We also had issues with ants in the room. Despite reporting it, the problem persisted, and at times food left out for even a minute attracted them. Reception did promise to refund the Deluxe upgrade fee on departure, which I felt was fair. On the positive side, the service throughout was fantastic. Reception staff were always helpful, and the pool bar team were excellent. The pool itself was a highlight – clean, well-maintained, and with no issues finding a sun lounger at any time of day during our stay (late August). Food was also very good, especially the lunches at the pool bar, which were both high quality and reasonably priced. However, I found the €18 per person charge for breakfast expensive compared to Dirty Nelly’s pub at the bottom of the steps, where breakfast is €4–6. While I understand hotel buffets cost more to provide, €36 for two each morning didn’t feel good value. The rooftop deck with hot tub and extra loungers is a nice addition, but it’s open to everyone, not just Deluxe guests, so it didn’t feel like a true upgrade. Update: Since posting this review, I have been contacted directly by the Guest Experience team – in particular Anton – who apologised for the aspects of my stay that were not up to standard. They confirmed that the Deluxe Suite upgrade fee would be refunded, which I find to be a fantastic approach. For me, guest satisfaction is greatly enhanced when a hotel acknowledges feedback and acts quickly to resolve issues while guests are still in-house. Because of this proactive response and excellent customer service, I have decided to increase my rating. In summary: The apartments are in good working order, with excellent staff, food, and pool facilities. I would happily stay again, but I wouldn’t pay extra for a Deluxe Suite. Compared with Marina Suites across the road, which offered much larger rooms and better amenities for a similar price, the value just wasn’t there this time. However, the way management handled my concerns has left me with a very positive impression. Rating: 4/5 – Lovely stay, excellent staff and service, but Deluxe upgrade underwhelming.
