Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

All was good other than a few issues but to be expected from a new resort. But, I paid for an upgrade and did not receive the room upgrade so I wasn't totally happy about that. If you compare this resort to the Hyatt Zilara the Hyatt is better and was cheaper.

We had the best stay at Secrets. The resort is beautiful. Our butler, Gilbert, was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he took excellent care of us. No request was too much. Gilbert went above and beyond. We will definitely be back.

This beautiful resort is new so everything is wonderful as one would expect. The people (staff) was exceptional in every way. Our butler, Mercedito, was over the top!! I cannot say enough about how great he treated us - from getting us an upgraded room, stocking it with our requested refreshments, making reservations, etc. He made our Secrets vacation exceptional.

The resort was beautiful. It’s new so still some things to work out but overall we had a great time. Andrienna was our butler and she worked very hard to make sure we had every the we needed. We ended up getting upgraded to a swim out and loved every minute of that. The food overall was good but not great.

Secrets Tides Review: I have a fairly strict 6-month rule about visiting newly opened reports. However, I broke my rule and booked Secrets Tides on my Premier Nights. Overall, given they have only been open 3 months I was pleasantly surprised at how well they are doing. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. There are 3 main pools (1 being the PC pool). All of the pools have a swim up bar, including the quiet pool. I don’t know if they are heated or not, but the water was very refreshing. The beach is nice and wide with lots of loungers for guests. I didn’t go in, as the waves were pretty strong most days. Food / Restaurants: Food is so subjective but what I can say is the food in the breakfast buffet was cold most mornings. I finally just gave up and at at Oceania— the breakfast was consistently good. Having said that, my absolute worst meal was dinner at Oceania— cold soup that should have been hot and overcooked salmon, and a non-fried crabcake (that was a first for me). El Patio served my best meal, which was surprising because normally I’m not a fan of their Mexican food. The South American place was unique and I enjoyed it too. Portofino was good 1 time, not so much the next. Most of the issues in the restaurants are training issues. For example, not having the correct utensils for the course. Ie ordered a soup and have no soup spoon. Bars: No real complaints here. But I also kept my drinks simple. Housekeeping: 2 days they never cleaned the room. But I did get the mini bar restocked daily. Only snacks on day 1. There was 1 night I got turn down service, the rest no. Not sure of that is an offered service. Some staff that exceeded my expectations: Coral — preferred club pool server Denise — showtime bar y PC Lounge Cristy— preferred club bar Jeniffer — preferred club Victor — el patio and ocean Luis Alberto pinales — Áreas públicas Will i return? 100%. in a year I think this will be an amazing resort. While it does not compare to Cap Cana, I enjoyed it 100x Royal Beach.

This new resort really hits the spot and is one of the best options in and around Punta Cana. The hotel is well laid out and has plenty of restaurants with outstanding food and the presentation/ taste is "spot on". Plenty of recreational activities and the beach is exceptional with abundant seating for everyone. But by the far the greatest asset this resort has going for it is the people. The staff was extremely attentive and very gracious in ensuring any needs we had were met. Our concierge, Mercedito was truly an impressive human being and was always a step ahead of us in the planning process. He truly made our vacation a memorable experience. Also we had two bartenders that really stood out above the rest. Juan and Jordi at the Preferred Club Bar made great drinks and kept everyone entertained. Don't miss out on this truly once in a lifetime experience.

This is mine and my wife’s first all inclusive trip and we were not disappointed. There were things could be added to make it more enjoyable however it just opened in January 2024 so they are still working out the kinks. The workers are hospitable and the activities team made sure that everyone had a good time. Jose was great throughout our stay!! He made sure to keep us entertained whether it was sand volleyball or playing Board games when the weather did not permit outdoor activities. The rooms were very nice and housekeeping was good. The only recommendation I would make is to liven it Up a little. The music was very low and you cannot really hear it when you were in the pool. The food was good however the portion sizes in the restaurants were kind of small depending on where you went. The drinks were ok but they could’ve been stronger but we also weren’t looking to get drunk either. Overall our stay was good and we didn’t have any issues and if you are looking for a relaxing time then this is the place to go. Constructive criticism Have more towel stations at each pool Don’t be afraid to turn up the volume on the music Dislikes The only dislike we had is the VIP services salesman. They are nice however it felt like they were trying to force you to sign up for VIP services even after you said no. They tried to get us into a raffle where you had to give them the last four of your card number in order to win the prize. It just seemed like a scam to me since I work in banking.

I had a great trip with great transportation both to and from the airport. The vehicle was clean and the driver was very friendly and on time. Thank you Renis
