Pachamama Nueva River Side Bungalows Punta Uva

Cool jungle lodge The staff was super responsive and hotel gave an excellent jungle experience. I will say the location was deceptive. The map looks like its in Cahuita when its actually a 45 minute drive away in Punta Uva. Also you must pay for your stay in cash or they will charge an exorbitant credit card fee.

First, they charged us for holiday week when the holiday is 10 days away. For the money, you can get MUCH better places closer to the town and activities. They do not include breakfast or coffee. This is a basic camp - bare minimum accommodations. I would not recommend.

We enjoyed our week long stay at Pachamama. We were in the large cabin the first night until a smaller one came available our second day. The cabins are located in the jungle, wildlife all around - howler monkeys, birds, roosters. 😁 Breakfast was excellent and served on our balcony every morning. Secure parking, in-room safe. Pachamama is right across the street from the beach and located conveniently close to Manzanillo, Arricefe, Punta Uva and Puerto Viejo - lots to see and do everywhere! Great restaurants all around!

Amazing rustic accommodation nestled in the jungle for those who love being one with nature! Perfect location. Bike ride to town for many restaurant options but tucked away on the outskirts for quiet relaxation. Right on the river with free access to kayaks and stand up paddle boards where you can paddle straight from the backyard of the hotel to the beach (about a 5 min paddle)! OR you can take a tour with Frank and paddle up river deep into the jungle to spot sloths, turtles, monkeys, exotic birds and insects! He does a dusk tour too where the dusk sky comes alive with fireflies. Truly Magical! Highly recommend !!!!!

This lodge is on the coast road from Manzanilla (good jungle walk ) and Puerto Viejo (bit busy for us). Near the lovely Punta Uva beach. Everything is off this road and it is very easy to get around this flat road on cheap bike rentals. The road is however quite busy and none of the bikes have lights making night time cycling uncomfortable. This matters for those without a car as there are not many restaurants within walking distance. Although there is the excellent Selvins. There is a small shop just up the road. Punta Uva beach is a short walk and makes for a lovely early morning walk, plenty of bird and animal life to be seen. Great for swimming. The lodge is set in lovely gardens, the cabins all being well separated. We had the smallest of the cabins, which was little tight, but was equipped enough for us to prepare a couple of dinners. The place was clean and well looked after. The lady who looked after us is a delight. She gave us a lift to get our bikes and also took us to the Great Green Macaw sanctuary herself. A very worthwhile trip to see these magnificent birds. Overall absolutely fine place to stay. Would be better with a car but we managed without. Note, cash payment is expected. ATMs can be hard to find so stick up while you can.

A lovely place to stay in the middle of the jungle. Perfect to watch animals and relax. Very close to you beautiful beach. You can go in kayak, this activity is incredible to watch tones of animals. I just wish to stay longer . The owner is so nice, always kine to help you and give you tips. Thanks to make our trip amazing
