Backlund Boende I Dalarna

Our group of 11 enjoyed two nights here as we explored the Dalarna area. The bed and breakfast is hosted by worlds best hosts MARIE and LAZA, who are available for ever need. The venue offers twin and double rooms, some with a third twin with small table and chairs. Hangers, mirror, dresser, outlets, and a view of the village. WiFi is pretty reliable. Shared bathrooms and showers in several areas. Several lounge areas through the house offer spots for chat, reading, surfing the internet or board games. A second floor balcony offers out door views. Breakfast buffet is served in first floor area with indoor or indoor patio seating or take your food up to the balcony on 2nd floor. No elevators here Breakfast is a wide assortment of fresh fruit, chessss, meats and an especially delicious smoked ham like Jamon Serrano. Try pourable yogurts, fresh juices, brads, several homemade jam. We picked berries on the grounds and cooked a red currant and gooseberry jam in one of the 2 kitchens We paid for evening meals prepared by a private chef with fresh veggies salad with a local white soft cheese. An eggplant and veggie dish, and sprinkle mix. Entrees included 2 each evening, baked salmon, beef, chicken in sauce, and sausage. Coffee, teas, and water 24/7 Excellent venue. Superb hosts

I don’t have anything bad do say about this B’n B. i slept like a baby. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are clean. Hosts were so friendly and so warm people. If you look good place do stay in Rättvik, this is the one!

Absolutely wonderful ❣️ I chose this B&B because it had a view of Lake Siljan in Vikarbyn Sweden. This area is known for the Midsummer festival, which was very high on my list of things to do whilst in Sweden. It did not disappoint. The evening of the Maypole celebration was just a short walk from the B&B, and our hosts were very involved in the celebration, which made our experience extra special. Our room was very comfortable with a shared bath, which was not a problem at all. There were more than one to choose from. We were on the second floor which had its own kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, plus a table for seating. There was a balcony/porch to sit on with a beautiful view of the lake. It was so peaceful and quiet. The main dining area was on the first floor. The variety of food to choose from was wonderful, which included delicious homemade breads and jams. It was the only place we stayed in Sweden which also included homemade lefse, a Scandinavian specialty. Lefse is a flat bread , similar to tortillas, which most Americans are familiar with, but made with riced potatoes. My family always served lefse for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so this was extra special for me. Parking was onsite. There was a grocery store very close by, so you could buy food to make for lunch and/or dinner. There were a few shops nearby within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

The magical view! Okay, and the walks directly from the oakyard into the sweetest Dalarna village to lake Siljan. And the friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere in the house. Run by a Swedish couple. Helpful, hardworking and funny. Beautiful rooms, doesn't even matter which one you choose, traditional and high standard with comfy beds. I had my own bathroom on the corridor next to my room. I liked it al lot there are two guest kitchens and guest living rooms. Sjaaa and then the breakfast; even all vegan if you wish, woodfire in the serre with the upcoming sun. You can't beat this. You will be back. I will. Practical also, free parking, bus stop at the door. All the little towns and nature trails around the corner. I have been here both in spring, summer and winter, always happy stays. And whatever i felt like doing, it was all close; hiking, nature ice skate, downhill ski, langlauf, horse riding, bike, sub, swim, oja and having a FIKA:) But still..not touristy, truly authentic and calm.

Séjour confort en Dalécarlie. + : Merveilleux environnement. Plage à proximité avec les enfants. Un bon coin de départ d'excursions autour du lac Siljan. La proximité d'un supermarché accessible à pieds. Airco utile qd on arrive avec la chaleur. Pelouse intéressante pour les jeux des enfants. Très petits points - : coin de repas extérieur serait plus agréable avec aussi la présence de chaises + confortables qu'un banc. Manque de crochets dans la salle de bain.

Fint hus. Fantastisk utsikt. God frukost. Jättefint möblerat tvåvåningshus men trappan var för brant och farlig för både hundar och barn och grinden till trappen gick inte att låsa ordentligt, men det löste sig genom att man gick runt på utsidan el genom ett förråd. Svala rum, skönt i sommarvärmen. Fin inhängnad gräsmatta för hundarna. Fantastisk utsikt över Siljan från en stor fin balkong. God frukostbuffé i mysig dalamiljö.
