Residence Inn Rocky Mount

Lovely suite at an affordable price for a night. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Nice location with at least one restaurant within walking distance . Clean hotel with a welcoming lobby and outside area. Pool was open but a tad cool for a morning swim.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the past five years, and I suggest that it’s time for a refresh. My room was comfortable and clean, but it was showing its age. The bathtub surround was stapled in place and the wallpaper was peeling. The toilet was whimsical - you had to jiggle the lever else it would keep running (I reported this to the management). The breakfast was disappointing because the scrambled eggs and sausage patties were cold. The bacon slices were very crisp, very thin and cold, too - they would have been better served as bacon bits after crumbling. Friendly and helpful staff, common areas were clean and tidy, but… I won’t stay here again until it’s been refurbished. And I’m a Bonvoy member.

Outdated, dishes were not clean, housekeeping does not show up, maintenance has to be called multiple times for them to show up. Overall would not stay here again.

The staff is super friendly and the breakfast wasn’t bad. The reason I wouldn’t give it more stars is that it is in serious need of updating and a deep cleaning. Outdated furniture and dingy bathrooms with dirty floors. It is pet friendly and our room smelled like dog. We were only there for one night but with so many other options, I would choose a cleaner property

i like the option of having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in 1 suite. the linoleum floors were so sticky and dirty i had to re-clean them. the entire room needs updated. the kitchen cabinets are pressed wood and splitting with the surface coating peeling off.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean lobby and rooms, convenient location near I-95, and plenty of space for the service dog. I would highly recommend it.

The room itself - bed, couch, tvs, bathroom were all fine. Breakfast fine. However the noise from the highway was horrific. Very little sleep was had by anyone. Don’t let them put you in a room on the highway side.

Pay attention, this hotel is way past its prime. It is dirty, worn and old. The wife is a platinum member and we had a one night certificate for a free stay from Marriott and chose to stay in Rocky Mount as it was half way to our destination. The entire building is showing it's age, and the maintenance and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Others have mentioned the rooms bordering highway 64. and shame on me for not reading the reviews, but I thought using 22500 points it would be an upscale property, what a disappointment, and I will never book a hotel again with reading reviews. lesson learned. The room needed more attention from cleanliness to maintenance, than I care to list and a previous review mentions the highway noise, this covers rooms 100-110, 200-210, and 300-310 AND YOU WILL NOT AND CANNOT SLEEP IN THESE ROOMS DUE TO HIGHWAY NOISE.

We always stay here as we travel I95. Great people, easy for our 2 Labrador retrievers, Outback next door, quiet, clean rooms, and good beds. Thank you. We will be back next time!!
