Premier Inn St Albans City Centre Hotel

The room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch

Terrible don’t expect food apparently they’re busy when just two groups are in of 6 and won’t even serve you. Manager I think it was needs sack. This old man came and said he must eat he was told to wait over hour. They don’t want to serve. They don’t want to help

This hotel is handy if I need to stay overnight for work reasons and, usually, it has served me well. However, it's starting to feel neglected and should take notice of the arrival of alternative hotels in the neighbourhood. My main complaint, however, was the room itself. I immediately noticed how cold it was when I arrived but I couldn't do anything about it as the heater control panel was 'dead'. I asked at reception and no one was bothered enough to come and check. The receptionist said she would adjust the heating remotely but I don't believe she actually did anything (or the system wasn't working) because there was no discernible improvement in temperature. In the end I had to sleep wearing additional layers and was happy to leave ASAP in the morning so that I could warm up in the car. I'm currently waiting to hear how they intend to resolve this complaint.
