Quality Inn Elkton -St. Augustine South

Bathroom shower head had mold onitsha. Floor was wet. It was nasty don't wast your money here they are cheap for a reason. Loud noise from a bunch of Latinos. Called front desk and they did nothing.and they will try to charge you extra also. Don't waist your money here.

We arrived late after a long drive and we were too tired to inspect the room properly.. We quickly unpacked and went back out to grab some takeout to eat back in the room. Upon our return to the room, we sat at the small table, and we immediately recognized the smell of excrement. Looking under the table, we noticed both dog excrement and urine. Not wanting to eat at the table, we moved to the bed. My wife moved to the bed where she noticed dog hair was all over the bottom bed sheet. She called to the front desk and was informed that there was no housekeeping but we could go to another room. Having already unpacked things, my wife cleaned up the dog excrement herself and then went to the front desk to get clean sheets. There were two workers at the front desk, but somehow, no one was willing to bring new sheets to our room or to clean up the dog crap. By that time, her takeout food was cold, and she tried to heat it in the microwave. It showed an error message, and the television signal was lost. It appeared that they were on the same electrical outlet. Nevertheless, the food did heat. We ate, slept, and left in the morning without showering, as the shower did not appear to be very clean. To sum up, it was a CRAPPY experience. Don't spend your money here, try another hotel. There is NO Quality at this Inn.

I knew not to expect much since this was a cheaper hotel. However, being that it was a quality inn I did have certain basic expectations. The floors were sticky, the sheets, pillows, towels and bed spread were stained and full of cigarette burns. There was black mold on the lamp shades. I had a partial roll of toilet paper and no spare rolls. The phone did not work. The sink and back of the toilet were cracked. I was charged for an extra room. I talked to others staying there and they all had the same problems. There was no excuse for the rooms to have been so filthy and in bad shape. The owner really needs to do right by the guests. Only good thing was the air conditioner worked well.

OMG. This shouldn’t even be a Quality Inn and part of the Choice/Comfort Inn group. What a flea bag! Room smelled so bad. Didn’t get here til late so we had no choice where to stay!! Breakfast was horrible. No creamers or sugar for the coffee. Hot food looked disgusting! I can usually handle inconveniences but this was the worst Quality Inn I’ve stayed in. I was afraid to sleep in the bed.

There were a bunch of roaches and some spiders. I found a roach in the bed. The sheets were dirty and the room wasn’t swept. The room was not cleaned very well. Never coming here again and I advise you don’t either!!!!

I knew I would be checking in very late (approximately 3 am) because of travel requirements. They told me they needed to charge my card for the 3 night stay in advance (not normal for a Choice hotel). I finally checked in at 4:30 am. The lobby is locked and you have to check in through an external window. I was given room 117. When I entered the room and turned on the light there were roaches crawling down the curtain next to the door. Upon turning on the light, there were a LOT of bugs scurrying around the floor. I immediately went back to the desk and asked for another room. I was given room 116 on the other side of the building. It was also infested with roaches. I immediately returned to the office and told them I was not staying there and wanted my money back. It took me 2 separate trips back to the hotel to get my money refunded. Never once did the staff act surprised or apologetic about the condition of the hotel or the inconvenience. This hotel should loose it's affiliation with the Quality Inn name and Choice chain! I left and went down to exit 318 and checked into the Smart Stay Inn and Suites. Fantastic hotel that is cheaper and very nice and clean. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.
