Buena estancia, habitación muy limpia, camas cómodas, muy buena animación, buffet muy variada, atención del personal muy cordial y amable

Hotel un poco lejos de la playa,para ir de fiesta perfcto. No hay mucha variedad de comida.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff always looking to help customers. Specially need to mention Branda from the reception was very professional and helpful. Also nice food in the restaurant. Only negative is no tea station in the room and no drinks (even water) available in dinner if you booked half board. You have to pay €5 per day (for the duration) and €10 deposit for the tea station.

We had a reasonable stay. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Sadly our air conditioning appeared to be broken and although the weather wasn’t that hot, our room was way too warm without it. The public areas are clean and the staff were all lovely. Food was ok and variable but very aimed at the retired Spanish tourists that were prominent in the hotel. We upgraded to premium all inclusive but still found a number of drinks that were not included. The location isn’t great and is a 10/15 walk to the seafront. Definitely an ‘ok’ hotel and offers reasonable value for money.

MedPlaya Hotel Calypso, Salou. 7 night stay. 30 March to 6 April 2024 Let's start with the good, which it mostly was... Nice, clean rooms. Big bathroom, great shower. Most rooms, if not all have balconies. Mostly friendly staff. Great swimming pools and outdoor bathing area. The food in the canteen was really good. Lockers to store your luggage on the last day, if you have late transfers. Arcade room for the kids and adults. Nice bars. ATM machine. Souvenir shop. Now the bad... No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Have to pay to use the safe in your room. These are trivial, but the next one ruined our holiday. There were two parties of teenage children that arrived, both staying for three days, that arrived one after the other, effectively the whole week. You couldn't move for them. Thought we were going to find a couple secreted in our room at one point. Even saw one climbing off the roof. The worst bit was dining though. All of them would go up to the hotplates together, they would constantly jump in front of you in the queue, really rude. Teachers had no control, they were sat at the other side of the canteen. Whilst they certainly weren't *****, they were just in your way all the time. Must have been 200 of them at least. All in all, we thought the good outweighed the bad. We would visit again. Just trying to avoid booking at Easter holidays.

The ac isn’t very strong and you have to leave the balcony open to get any cold air. The eating area is a bit packed so it takes a while to get food but the staff work very hard and are polite. It’s also impossible to lock yourself out of your room due to the door not closing fully of the keycard is still in its holder.

The hotel was really good I loved it I had so much fun I also got some souvenirs. The food was amazing. The hotel room was really good and the bed was really comfortable. I went there for a school trip and i loved the whole experience and I would love to come again.

Sitting in the lounge waiting to leave and what can I say … beautiful hotel, amazing staff, beautiful and clean Rooms, delicious food! Maria in reception helped me arrange a surprise birthday party for my son who was turning 9! Maria was simply amazing ! The restaurant staff were so beautiful and lovely as they all came out singing happy birthday with a beautiful cake! Truly made it a night to remember! The entertainment was truly fantastic ! Had so many laughs ! The pool was a little too cold but that is purely the time we travelled and I’m sure it would be a lot warmer during the summer ! The bar team were amazing! Had an absolute giggle teaching them what a mocha was and how to make one! A very safe hotel in addition to the above! My son lost his iPad and it was found and locked away in a safe behind reception. Check it was fast and efficient and check out took 5 seconds. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone! Whether you are a couple, young or old or perhaps a family you will have an unforgettable holiday. Shima from room 460 and 461.

The actual hotel itself - Exterior, reception area, bedrooms are all lovely - bright, modern and clean. Rooms cleaned daily . Food is nice we were all inclusive they had a good selection and they keep everything replenished. Also a cook to order snack bar during the day. Entertainment was good at night , different show every evening , not much happening during day or more geared towards Spanish kids and then they had aqua aerobics for adults . Games room is great pool tables, bowling & gaming. Staff were nice especially man on reception. The biggest let down of this hotel is the pool area. They have two pools , the second one block 2 is much nicer than the main pool area. ( but then you are away from the pool bar etc) Entrance to the pool area from block two needs to be refurbished I thought I walked into their store room or something the first day. The main pool area - pavement tiles all uneven and some broken and you can easily trip on them . Painting needed around pool and railings were broke while we were there . It's just not nice to look at. All in all I would return to this hotel again , it was good value and they seemed to have refurbished a lot of the hotel so maybe pool area is next !
