What a nightmare experience at this alleged 4* hotel, do not recommend unless you enjoy being frustrated and ripped off on what should be your vacation. We were forced to book 2 rooms due to occupancy (2 adults/one 2 yo, one 8 yo) and asked for adjoining/connected rooms. Melanie confirmed that rooms were next to each other but didn’t mention they do not communicate. We got the last rooms in the hotel, in the basement, basically worst in the hotel, nothing else was available but were told by staff (Christopher & Susanna) if we stay the night we would only be charged for that stay (we had originally booked 4 nights) and they will cancel the rest of the stay. The rooms are maybe 1*, old, musty smelling even with AC on, and we only used one of 2 rooms as we could not leave the kids alone. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything and we were woken up many times throughout the morning. We didn’t have a Do Not Disturb sign and cleaning woke us up at 9 AM then again reception who called our room as magically new rooms became available. We chose to leave due to poor service and new staff at reception upon check out surprised us by claiming we have to pay for yet another night despite confirmation of our cancellation. They are now refusing to return our payment to the credit card and claiming finance department will return to our bank if management approves. My advice if you really want to stay here is book a sea view in one of the new parts of the hotel, but not sure how you can make up for the poor reception staff and fraudulent management practices.
