La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Jose Airport

Room was spacious and comfortable. Everyone was wonderful as far as staff went. Originally gave a key to the wrong room but fixed it by coming to us so that was nice. Breakfast was just okay. Was hoping for a little bit better since we paid a little more for the room hoping to be able to eat there before we left each day for tournaments. We opted not to have our room cleaned every day but they did bring us fresh towels when asked. We had heard there were some smashing grabs in the area so we took no chances and basically took everything in but the parking lot did appear well lit and safe.

A lot more than what meets the eye when you first pull in! Rooms were very spacious, breakfast was ok except they didn't have the waffle machine working that was sitting on there on the counter, which was kind of big bummer. They also have a full bar but it was closed for whatever reason and not stocked at all. The breakfast and bar were the main reasons we booked this hotel too. Oh and one last thing, someone at the front desk apparently "accidentally" set off the FIRE ALARM in the entire hotel. At about 1:30AM the fire alarm sirens started blaring. I didn't smell smoke and didn't see or hear any panic when I went outside. I came out of our room and looked down the hallways and there was NO ONE to be found... Searched around (all while deafening sirens are blaring right outside our door) at 1AM and all of a sudden, after about 5 or so minutes of frantically trying to find a fire or anything, the sirens stopped. Extremely confused and also a bit irritated at 2am, we called the front desk after not hearing anything from anyone about if we were in danger or not. They answered finally and we told them that the fire alarm had been going off... The front desk person said "Yes, we know, we took care of it." Like it's a normal occurrence and we should've known I guess... So, confused again, we asked "Sooo, was it just an accident?" And all they replied with was "Yes." Without so much as an apology. And that was that So, be prepared, if staying here, that might happen! Just forewarning. 🤷

Old building with old furniture and dingy bathroom. TV did not work. Had funky smell to room. SJC planes take off right over room, noisy.

Hotel had transportation to and from airport. Was able to check in early. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel was not near any restaurants.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay. We appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the convenience of an airport shuttle at 5am. Room was nice and comfortable, and shower has nice pressure. When we arrived there was no coffee available in the lobby, but it was available when we were leaving. Because it was a short stay we didn't get a chance to try out other amenities, but will definitely consider staying here again.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was quite hearty and the facilities were in pretty good shape. My only issue was that the our room’s sink and bathroom are separate which I never like when traveling with a companion. Had I known that I would have sprung for another room. I always prefer sink, bathroom and shower all in the same room.

Clean facility. Staff very good. Driver very nice and good conversation to the airport; very nice man. Shuttle to the airport right on time. Dining choice was Burger King. Your online site says restaurant. I thought it would be in the hotel. very misleading.

We stayed on the 1st floor. When the persons staying on the 2nd floor walks, it was very noisy. Also when they take a shower, it makes so much noise! The room was very clean & nice. The breakfast buffet was good too.
