Decameron San Luis - All Inclusive

Here will go for my honest review of 1 week of stay at decameron Lan luis . take 3 minute to read all FIRST of all its 3 Star ! Hotel if you expected 5 star hotel go else where . Yes the hotel look like 40 Years old but i don't mind it . We see every day a crew of construction worker fixing thing and continue improving the resort. wich is understandable for more then 200 rooms resort .. RECEPTION COUNTER : Bring your google translate because they barely speak english. otherwise its okay . NB : the Manager really read all the review because on previous comments customer complain when you check out at 12h00 you not allowed to eat lunch. NOW : they let you eat lunch after you check out . So the Manager really consider all constructive comments With make me feel confident about him ROOMS : They are clean every day ! , and they bring new towels and fresh bottle water every day . the BIGGEST DOWNSIDE IN ROOM IS : The aircon is in the bath room . with make no sense but its how they build it.. , ( Bathroom Exhaust fan Should be added to remove moisture when we take a shower ) that bring me to the point , YOU SHOULD TAKE SHOWER on morning or before dinner , otherwise the aircon struggle to bring back the room cold to sleep ! Food : The food at buffet are always verry good and fresh and have enough to please every one , staff are really helpful and kind they are all there to help you can ask them almost anything . Pool : The 3 pool are only open day time only the small one seem to remain open after dinner they close pool if no lifeguard on duty. wich is understandable , ( safety first ) Bar: Bartender are always kind and listen to you , if you want your drinks more or less strong :) OVERALL CLEANLINESS : its good , For the one who complain about cleanliness , old and worn out , not mean dirty and not clean you can see many janitor always on duty around the site all day long. yes i seen some cockroaches in public open bathroom outside but its no big deal , its outside bathroom open to the element and nature . Never seen one inside room or in dining area . BEACH : Keep in mind there was a typhoon in 2020 have done lots of dommages on all the island.. its why the beach in front of the hotel is small now that in understandable , FOR the big beach you have to go to " Club de playa Rocky Cay Decameron " wich is entrance free , free drinks and 500m long beach front . LOCATION : At first i was stress to go at this hotel because its 25 min from downtown , you will enjoy peaceful place to stay . Once you have go around the city you can see after heavy rain its often smell poo downtown because the sewer are flooded, but not at our hotel they empty sewer every day with two pump truck so never smell something like downtown hotel you can easily rent a scooter for 110 000 cop a day on trip advisor . taxis go around 50000 cop . THE BEST OPTION is buss wich is only 4500 cop . its easy once you understand , look for buss with SING : ( Centr

Very chaotic hotel and having known Decameron for years my expectations were having great experience but instead it turn out very disappointing. Not many options for meal and restaurant and food is very regular. System to book for restaurant is so out dated. In a so called all inclusive resort if you ask anything twice they don’t have it. I was with a Kid and TV doesn’t work, Internet service was intermittent. There is barely any place to move around in a hotel. No Spa and mini swimming pool. Very disappointing experience.

Never again. What is represented in pictures and web page is entirely different from reality. Poor booking experience with miss informed staff, low quality accommodation, old infrastructure, poor maintenance and below average food. Reserved in Mar Azul hotel but got sent to San Luis due to air-co not being available in a full block (they tried to make us stay with fans only). Only rescuable experience was the interaction with the staff which was extremely friendly and understanding.

Dissatisfaction Pros: Great Food nice pools Cons: No wifi the and the front desk people are rude. Also far from all the main attractions this hotel is pretty much a motel with me ce pools. Don't recommend at all.

This place has absolute horrible service. Food is awful at the buffet, you have to be up at 7 in the morning to make a reservation at the probably terrible restaurant they have but don’t expect it when you arrive because you have to wait till 3 to check in. Besides all of that the reason for this complaint is due to the bar tender serving some old lady who cuts in front of a line that formed in front of the bar (near the tennis court - Juan Carlos is apparently his name) I rarely attend all inclusive resorts and this is probably why - terrible service. Hope I save you from wasting your money and vacation time - book somewhere else if you’re going to San Andrés.
