El Refugio Ski & Summer Lodge

Great experience overall. All the staff were very friendly and in a magnificent environment. Ideal place to rest, go hiking and enjoy good wine accompanied with a good book and family or friends. Would recommend it everyday.

The accommodations are very well designed, comfortable bed and great linen, fabulous bathrooms, with real working chimney in each room. The heating and hit water is impeccable. The two restaurants have both wonderful food. Especially the Patagonia shushi, a must. Reasons for my poor rating. 1) the wifi doesn't work and I've been here 4 days. Cellular data works fine. 2) the receptions take quite some time to answer. A couple of employees at the reception keep the help desk WhatsApp number muted. I called the number while in the corridor of the reception and then walked in and asked them why they didn't answer. They didn't reply. 3) on Saturday room service showed up at 4pm. They justified this by saying that they where too busy with new arrivals. 4) there is an extra charge for the wood for the fireplace (ok) however it doesn't ignite because the wood it's wet and humid. 5) the change sheets and towel every three days which is quite uncommon. 6) ask for internal transfers way in advance and call them half an our before to remind them. 7) no in room service of any sort Other tips: 1) The food at Terrazas restaurant is exceptional by the service is very very slow. Tw out of four time they got the order wrong after waiting for 40 minutes. Arm yourself with a lot of patience. Enjoy a great wine menu and the bar tender is top notch. There are two sitting for dinner 7:30pm and 9pm. 2) the pass to Chapelco is closed and thus skiing is limited to two slips with very slow chairs. However, they can organize a transfer which is reliable. 3) make sure you stop and shop for groceries at San Martin because there is not a single grocery store up here 4) make sure you book the restaurant before you get here because it gets crowded very quickly. 5) the ski school is very well organized and the instructors are very competent and kind.

Baita experiência!!! Nevou bastante enquanto estivemos lá, e tivemos a sorte de ter belas paisagens, dignas de filme! Quarto muito confortável, cozinha bem equipada, staff solicito, e um bônus pro piso da acomodação que era aquecido, um baita diferencial no frio de -6º que pegamos rsrs! Alugamos roupas e equipamentos diretamente por lá. Precisa pagar um passe avulso para acessar as pistas de Las Pendientes. São bem básicas, só tem 2. Mas para quem está aprendendo e com crianças foi mais que suficiente. Recomendo!

Estuvimos este fin de semana con nuestra pequeña. ¿Empiezo por el paisaje y vistas? Totalmente que sí. Un sueño a la mañana, a la tarde y a la noche. El lodge está ubicado en un lugar privilegiado ( El lago Lacar y la ciudad por abajo; el volcán Lanín a lo lejos, la pista de Ski atrás). La calma que tiene el lugar es especial. ¿Las instalaciones? Todo equipado y cómodo. Limpio y ordenado. ¿El personal? Nos recibieron de 10, muy amables todos. El recepcionista nos acompañó y nos explicó hasta cómo funcionaba la cocina. Otra info: *Está a 15/20 min de la ciudad, y está pensado y preparado para que te quedes allí (tiene 2 restó y un almacén ). *Si no tenes auto podes ir en transfer o taxi desde la ciudad. *La cocina está toda equipada y podes optar por llevar tus propias provisiones. * ¿que hay para hacer? Tenes gimnasio, pileta, senderos para hacer trekking. Y en invierno tenes pista de ski y snowboard. Obvio que esta a muy poca distancia de la base de Chapelco, por lo que se puede recorrer o aprovechar las actividades. * El predio cuenta con acceso privado, así que no se olviden los documentos jamás ni para entrar y tampoco para salir. La verdad que el verano es hermoso, pero tengo la sensación que cada estación del año debe tener su encanto. Nos gustó mucho y como dice nuestra pequeña "extraña la casita marron y los caballos", pronto volveremos.

El lugar esta en un enterno bellisimo, trasmite mucha paz. El personal siempre amable y atento. Las comodidades de la vila perfectas. Camas super xomodas, ducha excelente, limpieza impecable y tenes lo necesario en la cocina para preparar platos sencillos.

Excelente lugar! El personal siempre predispuesto a todo lo que uno necesita, en especial Santi de recepción y José. La habitación excelente, de gran espacio y bien equipadas. Tuvimos la suerte de tener una gran nevada y el entorno es espectacular. Recomendación ir con un vehículo 4x4 o bien siempre llevar cadenas. Se encuentra a pocos minutos del cerro Chapelco. En esta época del año sugiero solicitar las habitaciones cercanas al restaurante/desayuno. Volveremos seguro!!
