Camping Igara de San Sebastian

was leaving Pool was closed motorhome parking was basically a car park Staff were not very friendly - there was a lovely restaurant and a shuttle took you the bus stop to get a bus to San Sebastian San Sebastián was lovely but juts wouldn't choose that site again

We stayed here on 09.09.24 - we had a long drive from Calais to here - in advance we called the campsite that we would be arriving late, which they confirmed was ok. Due to traffic, we emailed to let them know that we would be arriving after midnight, which again theu confirmed was ok. We arrived at 2am, which we know is absolutely not ideal, but the situation was out of our hands. The man at the desk was one of the worst people I've ever had to deal with - horrible and rude. We parked in the car park and he stood at the door - once I walked towards him he shook his head and I followed him into the office. Unfortunately there was a language barrier but he made no attempt to greet me - just shouting and shaking his head in frustration and telling me to be quiet. He pointed at the camera to signal where to park (campervan area) and just point up (without showing me a map). Unfortunately I took the wrong road and ended up next to the cabins and had to reverse out. He then stormed out of the office gesturing his arms in the air and pointing upwards with a torch. This man genuinely ruined the experience of the campsite for us and one of the worst people I've ever encountered. We absolutely were late but it was out of our control - I would have rather been turned away if it was that much of an inconvenience. We were planning on staying here on the return journey but we absolutely won't be now. I hope he learns to treat people a little bit nicer and with respect.

Great campsite, easy access to the centre. There was a free shuttle to the nearest bus stop. English speaking workers and lovely pool. The pitches were really narrow, fine for a campervan but anything bigger may struggle for space. Wifi was a temperamental

Great location. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Site is just opposite the bus stop with buses every half hour downhill into San Sebastian, last one back from town at 10pm, brilliant! Pitches were quite tight but I suppose space is a premium, can't complain. Separate shower and toilet facilities very clean. Bar was good, we didn't eat but the food looked lovely. Will definately be visiting again, hopefully before the end of the season.

Loved it here, such a beautiful country area to stay in and only a 10 minute taxi into to San Sebastián. They offer a shuttle service to the bus stop (every hour) too. Great facilities, showers excellent, clean and hot! The bar was great, staff very helpful and although the pool was closed, it looked fab. We had a motorhome.

We were slightly concerned after reading reviews on trip advisor and other review sites But we needn’t have worried Yes the spaces are compact We have a large motorhome and there wasn’t much room to swing a cat but for our 2 nights stop it was ideal Isa the receptionist was wonderful, very friendly and helpful The facilities were lovely and clean with lots of hot water The restaurant was great , nice choice of reasonably priced food and wine Easy cycle into town and the beach Dogs loved it
