A most beautiful hotel set in the heart of the stunning mountains and valleys of the Südtirol! The hospitality was next to nothing we have experienced before. Every detail was thoughtfully covered… from the kids entertainment to the spa which had not only a most beautiful design but also catering to the ease of every guest! Werner and Tamara are wonderful hosts and we really appreciated how caring they were in looking after everyone. The food could have a separate review in itself. We were treated to 4 delicious meals … the buffet had a huge variety and the mains were catering to all tastes and preferences. The desserts were the most beautifully presented and absolutely delicious … and And there were a choice of wines carefully paired for the food on offer. The bar had a huge selection of cocktails… I recommend the grasshopper!

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Excelsior Hotel in San Viglio We stayed at the Excelsior Hotel in San Viglio and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We booked a Family Duplex Room, which was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a family—beautifully designed with plenty of room to relax. The service throughout was excellent. One standout example: we were running late on arrival, and the hotel proactively called us to offer dinner delivered to our room so we wouldn’t miss out—an incredibly thoughtful touch. We booked an e-bike tour with Mr. Call, along with our two children, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. He guided us through truly spectacular landscapes, and we had an absolute blast on the bikes. Highly recommend this activity! We also participated in the #DolomitesWall, the mountain climbing wall at the hotel which the kids powered around - and we tentatively followed. A little bit of onsite adrenaline. The adults-only infinity pool is simply breathtaking—the view over the Dolomites is unforgettable. Meanwhile, the children’s pool is just as impressive, with high-end features that kept our kids entertained for hours. The spa facilities, including steam rooms and saunas, were clean and luxurious. Both my husband and I had massages (€100 each) which were excellent and fairly priced. Fitness-wise, the hotel offers two gym areas. The cardio and weights space is compact, but more than sufficient if you’re active during the day. The Fit & Fun Zen Zone, is a gorgeous workout space with a jaw-dropping view. We opted for the ¾ board (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner) and found it to be great value for money. The food was of solid quality with a good selection each day. A real gem of the hotel is the cocktail bar—it would hold its own in any 5-star hotel in London or New York. The cocktails were the best we’ve had in a very long time, and the bartenders were clearly very experienced. In short, the Excelsior offers a fantastic blend of luxury, family-friendly amenities, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Dolomites. We would return in a heartbeat!

I cannot fault this hotel. The entire staff were, without exception, polite, kind, helpful and cheerful. The hotel is clean and very well provided in terms of facilities. The dinner is fabulous, with a good and varied choice, exciting flavours and beautiful presentation. Breakfast has a very wide choice both self service and table service. We did not have lunch as we were skiing. The cocktail bar has a huge range of amazing cocktails, which are prepared and served with enthusiasm and and should not be missed. The pools and spa areas are impeccably clean and were certainly not busy in March, the view from the roof top pool is stunning and perfect for a post ski relax. 2 of our party had a couple's massage and spa which they were delighted with. I am a very critical person of even small deficiencies and I was delighted with our stay here. We have already booked to go back next year.
