Surf City Inn & Suites

The front desk staff are very proactive, kind, and extremely responsive. Their customer service is outstanding. They went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The hotel amenities are exactly what I was looking for. It’s a nice place to stay with the family because of updated kitchen and cleanliness.

Check in was easy at the kiosk. The room was basic but did the job for sleep and a shower. We noticed that some people claim to have an issue with getting their deposit back, which was concerning. At check out, it's explained that it takes up to 5 days for the hold to clear, which it did. For the price, this place was good. It's close to the beach, near dining, has an indoor hot tub, and plenty of parking.

Cockroaches, stained towels. Pool & jaccuzzi in ill repair. There was blackmold in the shower. At $120.00 per night I expected a clean room

Room 116 Suck's. Fire alarm problems and water temperature barely luck warm after 15 mins and by stairwell for Night shift worker!

Couldn't sleep well, noise from unit upstairs made it hard to sleep,it carried on here and there until 8 pm and then started from 6 am until i checked out, it sounded like they were doing repairs upstairs.

Clean Room. Fine for the rate paid. However, it was a Deluxe King Suite with full kitchen. However, they offer no utensils, plates, cup, pans, nothing. Very odd that it was not mentioned in the listing that nothing was supplied. I went and purchased the necessities and upon return the power was out to the neighborhood. No lights no heat. Not the properties fault as weather was in the area. But, there was no one attending the property and the listed number for the property did not work. No way to check in or check out. Il ultimately left after 3 hours in the dark and contacted *******. I was rebooked at another property and was assured a full refund would be given.

Staff didn’t want to keep the front desk open they insisted everyone use the outside kiosk, despite the fact they were sitting in the lobby. The kitchen had no “real vent” so the room got Smokey when you cooked. We had neighbors who were fighting and breaking stuff all night long inside their room and outside their room for 2 nights. We set us our room in day 2 to have the housekeeping clean. No one came. We had to use the kiosk yet again just to get garbage bags and towels even tho again the staff was sitting at the lobby desk. The outsourced guest help told us we didn’t get room service because we didn’t answer the door. So on day 3 room service came by and they “couldn’t clean the room because we were in there.” But they handed us garbage bags and towels.

Very disappointed! When we got to our room as soon as we turned lights on we had a lot of little roaches scattering everywhere. Even in the bathroom so disgusting! We went to front desk to complain they offered another room but still didn’t feel comfortable staying there. We obviously left and didn’t stay and asked them for a refund. They denied our refund, another disappointment. Will not be booking here again!
