Eco Hostal Yuluka

My friend and I stayed in azulejo right above the pool with a slide and had the most amazing time. We were there for two nights and the staff were so friendly, a relaxing environment and delicious food-especially the fish with mango sauce. We spent a day in Tayrona park which was increíble despite being covered in bites. Recommend bringing a strong insect repellent and reapplying after being in water to help deter the insects. This was the only negative which can't be helped but Luis and the whole team were super friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back! Muchísimas gracias!!

Yuluka is a paradise in Tayrona. The cabañas are beautiful and very romantic if you are a couple. There is a daily shuttle to Tayrona park (which is only 5 minutes by car) and a beautiful oasis pool to cool off in afterwards or on days off. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend you stay here. There are also dorm rooms here which are fab for backpackers. The vibe is very chilled out. We really appreciated Yuluka accomodating our date changes (due to one of us being sick). Thank you for a lovely stay guys!

Weird vibes. Staff kind of strange not really friendly. All of a sudden at like maybe 10pm a man, who was clearly not a traveller, came into the room (dormitory) and asked which bed was free. He slept there and made the bed in the morning as if no one ever slept in it. We didn‘t get any news to that from the reception.

We had a really nice stay at this hostel. We had a private cabin with a beautiful bathroom and balcony. The staff was really helpful and we used the free shuttle they offer to go to Tayrona National Park. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant which we were both satisfied with. For our stay in Tayrona we could leave our big bags for free for 3 days. We also used the swimming pool where it was really nice to cool down a bit after a long and warm bus ride. Overall a really great experience and a hostel we definitely recommend!

This place was awesome and ideally located for the Tayrona national park - they provide a shuttle if you’re up early enough. Food was good but the accommodation was really well done - cool cabins dotted up the hillside with stone bathrooms and comfy beds, and well protected from hungry mosquitos. Pool is also good after a hot hike in Tayrona, and has a water slide which provides a good 5 minutes at least of entertainment. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Visited Yuluka for the 2nd time and the experience was just as great as the first. You are 10minutes away from beautiful Parque Tayrona and ooptions to many different local tours. Sharon was great in recommending the Tour of the Cacao where Anibal provides lunch and sows you the process in making chocolate. Laura was a great help in the customer experience area. Answering and providing much needed guidance. Though I’m a Colombian citizen and biased in my opinion, for international travelers, they make you feel at home.

The location on the busy road is a drawback, but the road noise really lessened as it got darker. The pool with a waterfall and slide is a neat touch, and so refreshing on a hot afternoon. The food is only ok, but the strawberry daiquiris were delicious! We were in Guacamaya up the hill and over the restaurant. It was a big, clean room with a good ceiling fan. The bugs eat you alive outside, so either stay in your room with the fan running, or put on lots of bug cream. The staff are friendly, but the front desk doesn't have the most up to date information about the park. We were told it opened at 0700, but it's not until 0800 that the gates are opened. They didn't know if credit cards are taken (THEY ARE), and we were worried that we didn't have enough COP, and there are no ATMs nearby (the closest is Santa Marta over 30 minutes away). All in all, a nice stay close to Tayrona. They do have free, secure parking just across the street.

DON’T GO HERE. We slept in the dorm and there where mice everywhere. There was poop of the mice on the beds, and you could hear them the whole night. So we didn’t sleep at all. We tried to get an amount of our money back, but they didn’t accept. The breakfast is also very poor. Avoid this place at all cost.

The hostel is close to Tayrona National Park about 1,30 minutes by bus from the airport por , the cabin are amazing , they bathtubs in the bathrooms , nice beds , nice views. , there are hammocks also and other amenities . The food is delicious with affordable prices. The Pool and the TV lounge are relaxing spots , it is possible to see birds and small animals like frogs . So if you want to be in contact with the rainforest this is a good option
