Aigialos Luxury Traditional Settlement

We absolutely loved staying here for many different reasons. First, the staff was exceptional! Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and their service was top notch! Second, we loved that it was right on the edge of town so it didn't feel crowded or loud. Third, eating breakfast every morning our balcony is something that we think and talk about often. The view is spectacular. And lastly, our room was great. It was roomy and comfortable.

This is our second visit to Aiglialos in Santorini (pls see my review of May 2019) The hotel hasn’t changed much. The views are amazing, breakfast is fabulous and served on your private patio overlooking the caldera sea. The entire staff are always polite and helpful. The property is located in a quieter area away from all hustle and bustle yet only 2 minute walk from it. This stay was a bit disappointing with the room we received, with some hiccups. The major issue was the shower situation (there was no wall separating shower). The entire bathroom floor & toilet would get wet when showering, there was no control over this, no matter how you tried to position the shower head/hose. We felt very bad that housekeeping had to bring us so many towels to dry up the floor. Please keep in mind this is a historic building, so be prepared for what that means. I’m not sure I would return, obviously not my experience from 2019. As a returning client and having message the hotel my husband & I would be celebrating a major milestone some effort could have been nice - missed opportunity. My low mark is for bathroom condition and inconvenience of dealing with it.

We visited for our anniversary treat and it didn't disappoint. The staff couldn't do enough for us, the room and view was stunning, and the food was amazing. We loved Santorini and would really recommend staying here.

A beautiful trip to Santorini was in no small part thanks to this lovely hotel. With a range of private suites many with gorgeous views over the Caldera, or access to balconies even if not adjacent to the room, it’s a perfect place to stay if you want a historical, peaceful stay slightly away from the beaten track. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful, the breakfast is delicious and the decor is tasteful and traditional. Also has a nice restaurant. Close to the bus terminal and the centre of Fira town without feeling hemmed in. 10/10 - would recommend to anyone.

Amazing room with amazing views!! We stayed in Skiron B. The suite was big, comfortable, and quiet. The views were amazing. Location was great. Service was top notch! A lot of great sights and restaurants in walking distance. Definitely consider this hotel if you are going to Santorini.

I recieved a room upgrade on this property of which I greatly appreciated. It is in with easy walking distance to the local buses and town centre. There was no need to travel Oia for the sunset as it was just off my terrace. Absolute hidden gem of a location. Thank you team Aigialos I will be back.

From the start to finish a wonderful experience. The whole team show exceptional customer service and the location is a hidden gem. I had a great start to the day with Breakfast being served in my room with an amazing view out at the Caldera. Thankyou Antonis! A quiet area tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town. Its an easy to walk to town and the Bus station. There was no need to travel to Oia for the Sunsets I could see them from the Terrace. I would highly recommend the Fira to Oia Hike and the local buses to get around.

A great location, with outstanding views. Traditional style property. The Bedrooms very comfortable and a lovely breakfast served on your balcony each morning. What makes this Hotel stand out is the incredible service given by every member of staff. In particular, Nikos, Milen and Tasos in reception, nothing was ever too much trouble . Antonis, Yonilda and Manolis where at the room door within minutes of a request. Thank you all so very much

This is a beautiful hotel made up of a number of traditional houses, some of which I believe are split into apartment type suites. We stayed in the 2 bed, 2 bath Mansion house which had probably the very best view in the entire island from it's huge high terrace. Oia is known as the place for sunset photos but, actually, Fira has the better sunset view and this can be proved from my attached photos! The staff here are second to none. They were,without exception, friendly, polite, efficient, cheerful and very hard working. The cleaners kept everything spotlessly clean. Water was provided free of charge ( you can't drink the tap water) and the moment you asked for it, it was brought to you. Room service was excellent - always on time, the food was lovely and the breakfasts were simply superb and brought to our private terrace every morning at the time requested. There was only one negative for me - there was a restaurant just above and next to our terrace which played music all day when I would have preferred peace and quiet but, luckily, it didn't go on late into the night so didn't disturb our sleep. There was a nice pool and bar area and excellent air conditioning. Things to be aware of - this is effectively a 5 star hotel but is a little different from most other properties of that nature - for example, the bathrooms are a little old fashioned but this is in keeping with the traditional style of the properties. There weren't things like a coffee machine, shower caps or a mini bar. However, there was a full size fridge, a kettle and instant coffee, tea bags and milk. Also nice toiletries. The other thing that visitors to Santorini need to be aware of is that you can't throw toilet paper down the toilets so have to be prepared to use a bin. To my view, all of the above are minor issues which are completely made up for by the fantastic service, staff, views, food, etc of this lovely hotel.
