Katikies Chromata Santorini - The Leading Hotels of the World

First off the staff is incredible. Georgia, the manager was very accommodating. We were looking for an upgrade when we arrived and she was able to provide. Here are our pros/cons: Pros: 1. Beautiful views of the Caldera 2. Staff is kind and attentive 3. All drivers were amazing 4. Only 15 min or so walk to town 5. Room 25 had a beautiful view Cons (and the only reason including is because we book so many hotels based on Trip Advisor reviews, we feel we need to let folks know our experience): 1. Stairs. We may have missed it when reviewing the other reviews, but wow. There are a lot of narrow stairs 2. Again…stairs (so nobody misses this) Not only a lot of narrow stairs, but also very steep. 3. Lack of privacy. In some cases as we climbed to the top, we would see people in their rooms and or porch areas. You are so close to other people’s rooms that it felt a bit invasive 4. For a $1.5k+ room/night the mini bar was not restocked daily (no worries, you just have to ask) 5. Rooms. Our original room was very small, not private at all and shared an AC unit with the neighboring room. Meaning, if they had the AC set to either heat or cold, our room would would have to follow theirs. My husband and I are struggling if we should post this or not, because again the staff and views are amazing. Just wanted to communicate our experience.

An absolutely flawless experience! We had an amazing time, from the moment we were picked up from the port until we were dropped off at the airport, every moment of the guest experience is magnificent. Our arrival and check-in was ver friendly and efficient. The delicious bottle rose on arrival was a master move. Our room was absolutely divine, the pool amazing, the views from the pool and terrace fairytale worthy. Housekeeping and laundry are worthy of praise, room service is excellent and the breakfast is fantastic. All the staff is so friendly and personable, you will never want to leave. Our degustation menu dinner at the restaurant was also outstanding, a hotel restaurant extraordinaire. The hotel also arranged a special birthday treat for my partner, a lovely cake and a terrific bottle of wine delivered to our room on the day while we were out, a delightful surprise, and then we were gifted another bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary! The delights and surprises just kept coming throughout our stay. This has been definitely one of the top holiday experiences of our lives, and the hotel and all its staff should be very proud for the amazing over and above standards and guest services it maintains. 5 stars are just not enough to convey how good this hotel is …

From pre-arrival planning until the moment you set foot in the airport to leave, Katikies Chromata staff work to ensure your vacation experience is the incomparable standard for what a luxury hotel can provide. We were fortunate to reserve the villa, which exceeded expectations in comfort, functionality and ability to remain connected to the broader hotel. Large private lounge space and pool were a key reason we chose the villa option. Whether it’s through WhatsApp, personal visits or the phone, staff took care of all requests; breakfast, lunch, drinks, bedding, etc. Always attentive, highly professional and friendly. Stella and her concierge team are next level. Arranging meal reservations, a wine event at their sister hotel, private boat through Katikies club all with personal service and consideration. In every event someone checked in personally to make sure the experience was enjoyable and up to standards. Private Transportation to island destinations was always available, and really appreciated their use of an EV fleet for comfort and carbon neutrality. Hotel location is excellent for those that want to walk and explore of stay put and relax. Hotel pool while small is as expected for Santorini properties on Caldera side, and nicely situated with bar and restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

This is simply one of the finest and most distinct hotels in the world. Unmatched views from the rim of the caldera of the natural beauty of the island. Enjoying all that beauty from the beautiful hotel pool or your own private plunge pool is truly an unreal experience. The location is simply unmatched which already makes this place a must visit. However, it is the service and the people that truly differentiate the property. Every individual, from the front desk staff, to housekeeping, dining and all of the drivers who helped us explore this beautiful island demonstrated truly outstanding service and caring about our vacation experience. Make no mistake, this property is expensive and this service level comes with a cost that makes it not for everyone, but we have stayed at many other equally expensive properties where we were not made to feel anywhere near as welcome or treated with such kindness and responsiveness. We can not more highly recommend a vacation experience that at the Katikies Chromata!

Beautiful hotel overlooking the caldera. We had a group with a wide range of room accomodations and all were fabulous with amazing views and some with privat pools. The staff was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful and special shout out to Stella who took care of our every need ! Breakfasts were delicious with many options and served overlooking the infinity pool and sea. Walking distance to Fira which was a plus.

What a little slice of Heaven! We had an amazing room and the views are stunning to say the least - the front desk staff was so sweet and always answered any questions we may have had. The only downside is the pool is very small and can only accommodate 8-10 people at a time and the staff by the pool weren’t that friendly. Other than that little hiccup, it was a memorable stay and we are Katikies Family for life!

We have stayed at Katikies Chromata for 4 wonderful nights. Beautiful room with magnificent view. The team of staff at hotel work around the clock to keep their guest happy. Everything is perfect, room service, breakfast, porter and reception front desk. Professional, friendly and always with a smile. The hotel is located in a really convenient position with car hire, restaurants and hairdresser at it’s door step. Staying at Katikies Chromata, you will experience Santorini at it’s best.

amazing experience - very welcoming staff - Sildi, Stella were always do nice and accommodating - beautiful rooms - impressive views of the calderas - sunset - convenient walk to Fira and nice villages around - food taste and look so good and inviting !

Great location, with beautiful views, a great restaurant (Koukoumavlos), and a location remote enough that cruise ship crowds don’t interrupt the serenity. Above all, the service quality and attitude of the staff was amazing. Highly recommended.
