Let's start with such good points as there are. The hotel is dated in a genteel, antique kind of way which is very much in tune with the local area. It's lovely that the filing cabinet behind reception looks like it's been there since the place was built, and the manager's office is labelled as such with a glass divider in front. The pool is nice, with plenty of deck chairs and the saltwater Jacuzzi is a nice touch. The views of the bay from our first room (see below) were nice, if obstructed. The bed was decent, and the air con did its job. Can't think of much else good to say. On the downside: My wife had a massage. At €65/1hr it was reasonably priced but not cheap. However, there was a phone in the room which rang three times during her treatment, a member of staff knocked on two separate occasions, and once came in to get something out of a cupboard - during this time my wife was laid on the table with nothing but a towel covering her with two men in the room, which I understand was not a relaxing experience for her. When she complained, the receptionist explained that she really needed something that was kept in that cupboard. If you're going to advertise yourself as a hotel with a spa, you need a quiet
