Shangri-La LAN YU plateau section hotel（DUKEZONG Old Town）

Really enjoyed my stay there! Staff there makes it very comfortable, welcoming and helpful! Free fruit and breakfast daily and they ensure that we are comfortable during our stays! Free one way ride too and it’s really useful. Staff is very knowledgeable and also the hotel is very comfortable. Everything is great and if I were to come back again, I’ll stay there again! The hotel is welcoming and in a good location with easy access to the Dukezong Old Town for shopping and food. The hotel staff are really helpful and always willing to go that extra mile to provide any assistance. The hotel room is cozy and our hotel room has an excellent view with the city and surrounding mountains.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff who are very attentive to all our needs. The heated floors and oxygen supply provided in the room were very useful during the cold weather.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room is super clean & big. And is less then 5min walk to 古城。i was not able to use my phone to order food in. The staff was so helpful they extend extra service to help me order my food. And brought up to my room too. They always checked On us to make sure we are comfortable in our room…

This beautifully designed hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of Shangri-La Ancient City. It’s very convenient, as the Didi driver can drop you right at the hotel doorstep, so there’s no need to lug your luggage far. This was especially important for us since Shangri-La sits at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level. Being used to living at low altitude, we could really feel our lungs and heart working harder even after climbing a few steps or walking uphill with heavy bags. The hotel itself is small but very cozy. The staff welcomed us warmly upon arrival and served us a cup of hot flower tea, which immediately eased the chill from the cold weather. We were assigned a room on the ground floor — a thoughtful arrangement, as it saved us from waiting for the elevator or climbing stairs every time we returned. Every day, the staff delivered a plate of fresh fruit to our room, and breakfast was served with a few standard options: either congee or rice noodles, accompanied by several side dishes. You can also request a cup of hot coffee if you’re not a tea drinker. Our room was well equipped with an oxygen machine, an air humidifier, and a heater. What truly amazed me was the heated flooring — we could comfortably walk barefoot without feeling any chill. The shower room and toilet were separated, with the sink conveniently located outside the shower area, which made it easy for both of us to get ready at the same time. The hotel also features smart digital controls for lighting, curtains, and even the toilet — a nice modern touch that added to our comfort. The front desk is staffed 24/7, with at least one person always on duty. On our departure day, the staff were kind enough to help us booked a Didi ride to Shangri-La Train Station, which we truly appreciated. This hotel not only stands out for its modern smart digital systems but also for its warm and thoughtful service — a perfect combination of technology and genuine hospitality. If we ever return to Shangri-La, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

From check in to check out all the staffs are very helpful and friendsly. The facilities here are good and well maintained z very comfortable stay.
