Whispering Waves Cottages

I was very disappointed with the service. We arrived, no one was on the property to greet us. I called the number shown and the host/owner answered. I asked which cabin we were in and she initially scrambled to confirm as she commented 'let me check' and sounded uncertain, then provided the cabin number, noting she was not there on the property. We entered the cabin and it was a disaster. Beds unmade, garbage present, looking like people recently left and it was not cleaned. I called the host/owner back, could hear kids yelling in the back ground (unprofessional). She told us to check two other vacant cabins and to select one. We did that and I called her back to confirm which one we chose. I got her voice mail. The room had lots of ants in the kitchen area, climbing the walls and on the floor. Nearest place to eat was 30 minutes away. At point of payment I asked for a break in the cost due to poor service, the cabin not being ready, and the ants. She offered maximum $20 off - not to my satisfaction. I expressed my dissatisfaction and she was rather snippy (not sincere or apologetic) with her defensive tone on the phone along with admitting/justifying this is not her full time work or focus - that was evident for sure. She expressed that her and her husband have full time jobs and this is a side job - obviously not priority. That was obvious with the lack of presence, not greeting, and poor organization of the cabins. I would not recommend this place, even though the cabin and view was nice. Won't go back there.

Fantastic property would recommend it to anyone. Favorite parts were the deer coming (Hubby counted 10 one morning) and fishing boats coming in and out of the Harbour. Secluded, everything you need internet, satellite and fully functional kitchen

We were fortunate to book a last minute stay at Whispering Waves Cottages for the night of August 10, 2022. We booked through Booking dot com. The owners confirmed with booking within minutes and sent instructions for our arrival and departure. It was a completely no contact experience, which in the time of COVID, we appreciated. We stayed in cottage 6. It was nicely located on the property, very private. Parking right by the door made unloading and loading very easy, The cottage had a spacious living area, kitchen and bathroom. There were two bedrooms, both with double beds. The main bedroom also had an in-room hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need for any length of stay. The towels in the bathroom were so soft! They felt wonderful on the skin. There is a crib and checkers game under the coffee table in the living area for guest use. Everything in the cottage was clean and just felt really comfortable. We sat outside on the front porch for most of our visit. The front porch overlooks the water. It was exactly the recharge we needed. There are multiple seats on the porch and in the front yard, a BBQ and a ring toss game at each cottage. The property has a gazebo, firepit and plenty of seating down near the water. The property is quiet and beautiful. I am glad we stumbled across Whispering Waves, would love to do a longer stay sometime.

The cottages are a little faded but still very good 👍🏿 The cottage is reasonably equipped and has anice view had deer 🦌 out front of our cottage wasn’t aware how far things are but wasn’t a big deal all in all quite happy 😃

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr gut, vom Check-in bis zur Abreise alles TOP! Die Lage der Cottages direkt am Wasser mit Außensitzplatz ist einfach herrlich. Das Cottage bestand aus Wohn-/Küche , Schlafzimmer, Bad und Veranda. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht an Porzellan und Töpfen etc. Der eigene Parkplatz ist direkt am Haus. Es gibt eine große Wiese mit vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Hier ist man genau richtig zum entspannen und wohlfühlen. The communication with the owner was very good, everything was TOP from check-in to departure! The location of the cottages right the water with outdoor seating is simply wonderful. The cottage consisted of a living room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and patio. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need in terms of porcelain and pots etc. Your own parking space is right next to the house. There is a large lawn with lots of seating. This is the perfect place to relax and feel good.
