5 star hotel lived up to its rating. Firstly, the entrance to the hotel is wow and the chairs in the lobby were super comfy. The room was exquisite, spacious and its design was very modern and an eye-opener for me. Bathtub in the toilet with shower and toilet bowl separated by doors. Bed was comfortable and TV was good. A lot of cupboards to store your stuff. Great view of the surrounding area and the sea if your rooms are placed well. Wifi not too bad, quite fast but was down for the whole hotel for a short period of time ( Caused great inconvenience for me ). Door of the room was heavy, and had to use a lot of force to push it open.
Service was top-notch as the housekeepers were friendly. They were foreigners but they still put in the effort to say simple greetings which really make you appreciate their efforts. Rooms were cleaned well after make-up. Other hotel staff were also friendly and calls for assistance were answered quickly. For example, when the TV stopped working, the hotel IT person arrived in like 5 minutes to fix the problem fast. Quality service.
Food at the hotel which I had was only during the breakfast buffet, which had a wide spread of asian and western dishes. Delicious and literally whatever you can think of, its there. Staff were friendly and quick to clear the dirty plates. The ability to pick whatever food you want again truly returns you back to the early days before Covid. However, I witnessed a boy using his hands to grab the food and put inside his pocket, probably stealing the food. After that, he went to take it again with his hands even though there were tongs. Crazy, Unhygienic and Inconsiderate. But that was not the hotel's fault though, because they provided ample tongs to pick up the food which you wanted. Just an experience. However, I had a hell of a time stuffing myself so much that I did not need to eat lunch after that. Kudos to the chefs and staff there.
Location was good and you are able to have a bird's eye view of Singapore's city skyline in the day and at night which is magnificent. There is a linkbridge to Suntec City for shopping and food and restaurants operated some by the hotel and some privately. A lot of people go there for late night drinks and food. If you find that it is not enough, you can access Esplanade MRT station to shop and eat at Raffles City Shopping Mall. Thus, high connectivity and access to explore other parts of Singapore. Carpark below which charges exorbitantly, however as a hotel guest you can request for a complimentary ticket at the conceirge to offset all the costs so that you can park free. Close to Bugis and other delicious places to eat.
Amenities was good. Fitness Centre which had whatever a workout enthusiast needed, dumbells, treadmills and other gym equipment. Certanly one of the biggest fitness centres of the hotels I went to. Swimming pool was very cold though, as it is located at the 18th floor which makes you suffer the wrath of the wind. However, it has a bird's eye view of Padang and the entire CBD area. Truly beautiful 180° view. It also had a wide open space to play badminton without a net and a football table. There is also a table tennis table and a billard board which you can request from the staff to get the equipment, not the badminton one though. Quite good and you can relax on the chairs also enjoying the view or reading a book, while basking in the fresh air. One plus point would be that where all of these amenities are located is sheltered totally so no need to worry about bad weather, including the swimming pool. Other amenities include a spa and a wine tasting place.
Overall, this hotel was perfect and I would visit it again.
