Residence Inn Sioux Falls

As someone who is a frequent traveler, this hotel is fair at best. It is old and tired and needs some updating. Carpet and colors in hallways look very dated. The floors are creaky in guest rooms and hallways. Bathrooms badly in need of updates too.

Very run down property. NOT a very clean room - stains everywhere on carpet, couches, upholstery; crumbs found on couch and under desk in living room. I didn't even bother looking in the cupboards and closets for fear of what else I would find. The black out curtains had rips and tears and clearly needs to be replaced. The breakfast area was very rough looking like a tornado had gone through the place. And the quality of breakfast items was very poor as well, I'm not sure if it's the food or the way it was prepared the problem. The staff is nice, but how gross and run down the property is definitely not worth staying even for a cheap rate. Fells like staying at a Motel 6. As Titanium Marriott member whose been staying at Marriott properties for 30+ years now, this hotel is an absolute embarrassment to the Marriott brand. Honestly, makes me want to start looking at other brands if this is the quality of hotel Marriott is okay with representing.

I have long been Gold Marriott Bonvoy loyal. But after a bad experience last year, I burned off all my points and started staying with Hilton Properties. This trip through this property checked a few boxes of some things I specifically needed so I gave them another chance. I'm so glad I did. From the moment I arrived and was checked in my Rhonda everything was great. All front desk people were more than welcoming and helpful with our navigating the town. The property and room were clean and well-stocked. I could not have been happier. Will return. Thanks for a great stay

This property and the Springhill Suites in Sioux Fall, SD are not owned or managed by Marriott, although falsely advertised as being a Marriott property. KAF Hospitality out of Sioux Falls acquired and manages these properties. Both properties are old, worn-out and dirty. I have never stayed in a Residence Inn by Marriott is such condition as my pictures show. General manger after acting shocked by my pictures, replies we will be renovating. Previous Trip Advisor reviews from months ago show very similar pictures. A room with drapery in this condition should never be booked until supposed renovation is done. The drapery was shredded in both bedrooms of a two-room suite which they are currently booking for $298 on a weekend date. The stained shower and stains on the bathroom wall are from our stay at the Springhill Suites in Sioux Falls also not owned or managed by Marriott. The Bathroom wall stain makes one wonder just what is that stain from (grossed out). The General Manager Kattie Keefe offered 5,000 points (seriously for shredded drapery and worn out suite). I did accept $60.00 off my $169.00 senior weekday rate. We had no other choice but to stay in the suite as the General Manager said the hotel is sold out. This was the worst condition of a branded Marriott suite we have ever stayed in. We have been Marriott Elite members for over 25 years. STAY AWAY from these branded Marriott properties which are located near the Empire Mall (Residence Inn, Springhill Suites and Fairfield Inn. The Fairfield Inn and Suites near the Sioux Falls airport and the Sanford Pentagon Sports Complex is a far superior hotel. We stayed there last year, but was booked on the dates on our most recent trip.

Our family of 3, 2 adults and one child, stayed in a King room with the child on the couch. The staff were very nice. The hotel was worn. The bed was very comfortable and my daughter slept on the couch which was nice for a couch night, not using the pull out, as the bedding on the pull out looked dirty. The breakfast was less than average in quality.

It was my second stay at this property and it was nice and clean. Staff were polite. Really nice area.

Was very quiet for a busy area. It was raining, windy and cold on our stay. I was traveling with two seniors and it would have been nice to have an awning or a shelter driveway to drop them off. Unfortunately they got wet and caught a cold. Hopefully next time visiting. The hot breakfast could include maybe hash brown with the eggs. Great hot n cold beverages selections.

It is very clean and easy to get to. Breakfast this time wasn't as good as it has been in the past.. but overall this is an excellent Residence Inn.

Everything was clean. Didnt like the shower at all. A chair in our suite was all torn up on the top and loud creaking upstairs...we were on the first floor. Breakfast was okay. They were running out of everything by 8 o clock. If your looking for a clean place and close to the distric i recommend....but dont expect much other than that.
