Extremely cramped small dated room, with a on suite that could only be described as a plumbed cupboard. No wardrobes just a clothes rail. Two extremely uncomfortable beds. The frames of which stick out in a room that is cramped, leading to stubbed toes or bruised knees being a possibility. Room this small which should be a single contains two single beds. Bathroom consisted of a tiny shower with a door that does not shut. A toilet set upon a step in bay of a window that overlooks the street. Shower door did not shut. Smallest sink in possible. Toilet ran if your did not press the button twice.

Just got back from a two night stay lovely room and location is great. The owners are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Really nice tasty breakfast each morning cooked perfect. Easy to find parking. Would certainly come back for another stay.

5 of us stayed in the craigside for 3 nights 5/7 to 8/7, we arrived early but the owner kat allowed us to put our luggage in the lounge ,however a couple of rooms were ready so we checked in,all very smoothly i was allocated room 7 (i think) which is on the second floor, there are no lifts in this hotel, my room was a basic single room ,which apart from the bed had tea/coffee,towels,clothes rail,a stool,chest of drawers,tv, the bathroom had a toilet,shower ,basin and cabinet,but be aware this bathroom is not a good size if you are a large guy/girl!!, there is a dart board,pool table in the lounges ,breakfast is 8.30 to 9.30 ,kat put us altogether for breakfast ,there was cereal,etc if you wanted it, we were then offered tea/coffee,juice,toast ,before ordering our breakfast we all had the full english which was hot,and very nice ,we were asked everyday if we needed anything for our rooms ie towels,tea/coffee etc,so we enjoyed our stay and i would consider staying here again.kat was a lovely host who was always willing to help

Lovely warm welcome on a cold January day. My room was as expected very warm and clean and just perfect for a one night stay. I had a fantastic nights sleep to. My breakfast was really nice (I have a bit of a food phobia) and it was exactly what I wanted and it was cooked to perfection I was only charged £50 for my room and breakfast as they would say on 4inabed it was absolutely value for money.

Booked here through booking. Com as last minute due to storm Debbie causing chaos, as emr canceled to trains which memt I wouldn't been home till 11pm at night traveling over 5hrs to Bolton and bus last one 10.50pm and taxi would have been time and a half so train station refunded to my account and rebook Ed in morning on arrival you press those ring door bell things was greatted by the owner who gave me a room on the first floor was very professional I disabled with a walking stick can manage some stairs but she carried my case up for me room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable I didn't try the breakfast as it was late ish and got the cheapest train back at 6 in morning would definitely stay here again
