Relais Palazzo del Barone

We spent four night during our honeymoon at the Palazzo and loved it. They serve great food and drinks and one of our favorite days was relaxing by the pool with great service. We also did the cooking class which was incredibly fun and tasty. We loved our room and balcony. It’s a fairly long walk to town but very doable going down hill. They do have a shuttle to pick you up and bring you back at night which is helpful. Overall, we loved the stay. Sorrento is very busy and it’s nice to have a tranquil place to relax and recharge.

When the taxi has to drop you and your luggage off at the end of a narrow road beause he says his fleet refuses to drive down it, a red flag should have gone up. Perhaps if this property was closer to town and not on a scary road we would have enjoyed our stay more. Compared to the other 7 hotels we stayed at during our trip to southern Italy, this was the least welcoming. When we asked for water upon arrival we were told we could pay for it from our mini bar in the room. Every other hotel ofers you a 'Welcome" beverage. Lucy and Barbara were very kind and helpful. The views are lovely but the shuttle bus does not continually go back and forth to Sorrento, it's some specific times and the walk is not easy and not doable at night. The property is not right outside of town, it is wayyyyyy outside of town. I see others raving about the breakfast, it was good but certainly not worthy of raves like all the other hotels we stayed at this trip in the same price range. So come for the view which is lovely but don't exoect other elements to equal the view!

Possibly the best view we’ve ever had from a hotel anywhere. A beautiful serene location, very comfortable with lovely food offerings and extremely convenient shuttle. Barbara was always on hand for our requests and arranged a tour of the Amalfi coast for us. Having to order breakfast content in advance was a little quirky but quality and service were excellent. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and our stay was extremely pleasurable.

We absolutely loved our stay here on our honeymoon!! The property is stunning and the staff is so nice. Great location outside of Sorrento— the walk into Sorrento from the hotel is lovely. And the food at this B&b is INCREDIBLE!!! The breakfast has so many options and is delicious (currently craving the pancakes!) We also had dinner one night at the B&b and it was one of our best meals of the trip!!! They change the menu daily and use the freshest ingredients. Their cooking school looked amazing but we did not have a chance to try it— next time!! Highly highly recommend staying at this beautiful and charming b&b.

Our stay at the Palazzo del Barone was magical from beginning to end. The property is beautiful with stunning views, surrounded by lemon groves and olive trees. The staff are some of the nicest in all of Italy, and bend over backwards to make sure that your stay is perfect. Barbara and Lucy are some of the best in the hotel business. This is Four Seasons level service, but it doesn't feel big and corporate like that, it feels like you are part of the family. The owner took the time to come to our table every dinner, and make sure we were happy. The shuttle down to Sorrento is very convenient and the staff always does their best to accommodate guest's needs for transportation. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms, plenty of plugs and amenities in the rooms. Our balcony looked out over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. What could be better than that? Also, the grounds of the property have been planted and meticulously maintained in a beautiful style. Everywhere you look is an Instagram-worthy scene. Bravo to the landscape architect. Oh and the food is sumptuous. I think we had three dinners there, and each one was better than the last. This is definitely a highly recommended property. We attended the cooking school one afternoon as well, and it was one of the highlights of our European vacation.

Palazzo del Barone is an idyllic guesthouse in the hills surrounding sorrento. I was a little unsure about it being further out than where I'd previously stayed, but in truth it's a pleasant walk down into the town and the shuttle is frequent to get back up. As for the place itself, the room is fantastic with amazing views from the balcony, breakfast is good - allowing you to pick and choose and the setting is tranquil. I've never been one to be fussed with the staff at a hotel when I go away - we just tend to do our own thing - but all the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay, from Lucy who greeted us and was always available via WhatsApp through to the owner Fabio who gave us a lift up from the town and even Aurora (?) who's first day was our last day all made the stay a memorable one. If I came back to Sorrento I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, our stay was truly wonderful. A warm, friendly welcome and customer service which could not be bettered. The hotel is situated looking over Sorrento, the views are incredible and the location ensures a peaceful, luxurious stay. Everything is done to the highest standard, the grounds, pool and rooms are beautiful. The food is delicious…the breakfast is included and the choice and quality is exceptional. The regular, complementary shuttle to and from Sorrento is the icing on the cake. Thank you so much, for the perfect ending to our holiday in Italy.
