Hi Sam, I was going to write to you & Maria. My stay was a special time in my life and your B&B filled it with beauty, charm, friendliness and a peacefulness I was looking for. Everything every day of my visit brought me special memories I will treasure for a long time. Maria met me at the front door with a big warm welcome and showed me around giving me a tour and what to expect of my stay there. Each day was filled with new experiences for me as this vacation was to make going solo in my life now an easier transition. Loved the Ivy Solace room that made my time in Canandaigua even more special...beautiful with charm, history of days gone by. You thought of every little detail one could imagine. Wonder if I should have brought this or that; then open a drawer or unique box and wala it was there. You thought of everything a traveler to the area would need. And the cleanliness ... your staff made the White Glove Test be phased out of existence. Job well done. The touches of history throughout the house were amazing and I learned more of its beginnings up until now. I even snuck into that sitting area and quietly played Chopsticks on the piano (only tune I know to play on it .. ha ha) but Maria said it would be ok and no one was around there but me that day. Now on to the gourmet 3-course breakfasts. To die for!!!! I gave your head cook a big hug for those delicious dishes ... favorite was the French Toast --- 😋 YUM! Also lady working with her was so pleasant too and did fantastic job there in helping me with questions I had upon my stay there. Seems the people your establishment draws are super nice folks too. Enjoyed our time together in the sitting area and eating together. We loved our talks and the friendly atmosphere helped bring us together. We almost didn't want to part to start our day. My son and daughter-in-law gave me this trip to Canandaigua as a birthday gift and found your place to make this trip even more special for me. I definitely will be back if I plan another trip to the area. I'm only about 50 minutes away up in Spencerport, NY. My husband and I would come for a trip to Canandaigua every year for Roseland Park Amusement area and then to Polimini's Restaurant across from Kershaw Park for dinner. Loved the backdrop of the Bristol Hills and Mountain range around the Lake. Sadly they're both gone. Well sorry this got so lengthy but I'm still feeling my wonderful time at your place and the surrounding area. Please tell Maria hi for me. Thank you both for this special time in my life and the forever sweet memories. Joyanne (Joy) Burrell Almost forgot to mention the lady there who works on your landscaping and garden areas there. Beautiful job and always said "Hi Joy...how was your day." Whenever she'd see me coming or going.
