The apartment is best suited for short stays as there's no kitchen. Set amongst some classic Tasmanian cottages and close enough to enjoy the comforts of living near the city. Meander around the local streets discovering lane ways and paths. Walk to Cataract Gorge via The Basin or be adventurous and walk to Duck Reach Gorge for spectacular views and admire the awesomeness of the first publicly owned hydro-electric plant in the Southern Hemisphere. A great gym nearby if you feel inclined to take a class located inside the old Coats Patons Woollen Mill now heritage listed. Only a 15 minute drive or taxi ride from the airport about $35. If travelling solo the airport shuttle bus will drop you to the door for $18 one way. Enjoy a walk into the city and perhaps return via the gorge or visa versa. If you prefer you can jump in a taxi for a short 5 minute ride or catch the bus. Launceston is built in a basin so when walking it helps if you love the hills.
