Premier Inn Southend Airport

A very run down Premier Inn. A builders hotel. Rooms very shabby but clean. Had noisy air con, then moved to room “14” looked like it been burgled. Finally to a room that had no WiFi or even a 4G signal. Staff are nice.

Staff are great and very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone staying around this area, very clean haven’t got a bad word to stay I’ve stayed quite a few times and I’ve never had a problem. Food next door is also very good and a good price aswell.

We arrived for check in and wasn't informed of where to find our room so had to guess, when we got into the room it smelt musty, the bin was too small for a family room. There was rubbish under 1 of the children's beds, also a stain on 1 duvet cover. Selection for breakfast was good but quality not so good, bacon not cooked enough, eggs overcooked, juice watered down, toasters took too long to toast. The hotel should have a mini fridge or fridge in rooms as I was hoping to bring my oat milk for my morning drinks but nowhere to store it so had to go without my morning drinks until got to breakfast restaurant.

Wasn’t a particularly memorable visit, however I will never forget how much our toilet stunk of cigarettes. We couldn’t leave the bathroom door open as the whole room would be overcome by this toilet water/cigarette combo. We were only looking for a room to stay in while we were mainly exploring away from home which it did serve its purpose but did absolutely nothing other than that. Also sort out that terrible smelling toilet.

Extremely helpful staff, ensured my stay was comfortable. And has a restaurant next door for drinks and food. Will definitely stay again!

We had a business meeting near Southend, so we chose this hotel because of the location. The hotel is quite reachable, just allow time for travelling on evenings and mornings. The hotel has a nice quiet location near a Tesco Extra supermarket. The rooms were clean and spacious, with the necessary amenities. Breakfast (in the next door Beefeater) was also the guaranteed Premier Inn quality.

Travelled a few hundred miles to see family, booked a family room. Was as expected, had everything we needed, beds comfortable, room comfortable. I didn’t go round taking pictures of rusty towel rails and such, as I’m not that sad. It was a bed for the night, value and was what I required. No issues.

Limited menu. Food was good and hot. Good sized portions. Good service from Clive. Such a friendly manner. Attended with wheel chair user. Although the main restaurant was closed we were seen to table in a friendly manner. Sat over looking the runway Cheery atmosphere.

Great room friendly staff.very clean good locstiom. Quiet hotel. Breakfast let it down. Cooked food not hot or very fresh. No staff to complain to all very busy. Very surprised as we had lunch there the day before and it was very good.
