The Red Lion Hotel

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception with the team at the Red Lion with 34 of our closest family and friends. We cannot thank Kirsty and the team the most, they set up the room with decorations we provided which was done beautifully, the food was absolutely superb and they catered the menu to our wants and needs, we were able to play our music through their sound system and provided us with bar staff. All staff were attentive to our needs and made us and our guests feel welcome. We stayed in room 28 that night too and the staff have placed confetti on our bed which was a lovely touch, the room was warm and comfortable with everything needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better day and night and cannot thank Kirsty and the team enough for making our day so special. Jen and Aimee Exposito 24/04/2025

We called at the Red Lion for a few beers and decided to have an evening meal, the bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Food was very tasty and ample portions, and I would go back. Overall, good value and reasonably priced.

Absolutely fabulous, superb staff, rooms, food, couldn't fault, will definitely return. Could have happily stayed for longer. Welland room lovely , evening meal very good, at last a decent steak. Busy but not surprising , right on Market Square
