I booked my room through ******* for the Extended Stay America Suites Washington DC Springfield. Before I booked the hotel, I called them to inquire about late check-out times and they responded that late check out is by the hour. I told them I was going to book the room and checkout late the next day. I booked through ******* and I received a confirmation and itinerary number. Once I got to the hotel, before I could say anything, the front desk worker said “we don’t have any rooms”. I said ma’am “I’m checking in, I’ve already booked a room”. She said “yeah, but don’t have any rooms”. She pulled up my reservation and said, we didn’t charge you because there are no rooms available. I never got any emails from the hotel or ******* bout rooms being sold out-but my card still had a *pending* charge. The problem is, the hotel could not provide anything such as a print out or email stating they were sold out. The hotel didn’t cancel my reservation. When I searched online, I was still able to book another room with the same hotel - I did not but just checking. They were not showing “Sold Out”. At this point I felt like my room was possibly given to someone else. I was finally able to reach out to ******* and they were able to get my reservation cancelled and they reversed the charges. But it left me having to find somewhere else to stay. My overall rating was a 1 because of my experience-but I cannot speak to the cleanliness of the rooms and other services.
Not a good experience.
