A group of 14 people - we stayed for one night (4th) in Al Meher. We checked in the evening at around 7pm and checked out at 7am next day. There are so ***y things that went wrong. 1) The attendents did not help to take the luggage to the rooms. 2) The reception staff were not courteous. While we were all sitting and waiting at reception, they simply ignored us. 3) No hot water was coming the rooms. They switched on the heater and said water will come after 1 hour. But, the heater was not switche on in our room. After waiting for two hours I went down and complained. They checked and realized the mistake and switched it on. After a few minutes the fuse went off. When I confronted them, they changed our room where hot water was coming. 4) They said dinner will be ready by 9:15 pm. We went down. They said that dinner will be ready after half an hour. Our kids were tired and slept off without food that night. After confronting them again for the delay, finally they provided dinner at 10:30. 5) Worst food we have ever eaten. Cold, without salt and without any taste. 6) The hotel staff behaved arrogantly when we complained. 7) In one room, the fan was not working. My friend got tired of complaining and lived with the discomfort. 8) In the morning, as we were leaving early, they gave bread packets and jam for breakfast to carry with us. They did not even provide a plastic knife to spread the butter. We had to go back and ask. The hotel looks fine from the outside, but the experience was the worst we ever had.
